I gave hunto the permanent invite link that The Holy Huba posted in announcements but it says "This instant invite is invalid or has expired"

I just checked the original thread, the link was updated a few days ago and should still be fine, make sure you aren't sending old links.
Regardless, it's suggested you send people the forum thread rather than just the link.
