Top 5 comfort foods - to me those are the ones from my childhood, that bring the rare happy memories
1. Lamb roast with rosemary and garlic, and roast veggies
2. Boiled corned beef with bay leaf and peppercorns, my mums white gravy (which no one has been able to duplicate).
3. Damper (type of bread) with real butter and golden syrup (not that maple crap) eaten hot and fresh off the campfire.
4. home made Anzac biscuits. Me and my sisters loved making these and handing them out on Anzac day.
5. Fairy bread - basically white bread with real butter and sprinkled with 100's & 1000's (not sure what u guys call it). Always a favorite at parties growing up and I still occasionally buy a packet.
