The More accurate version (Thank you Dorito, this made this so much more productive and took all the guessing work out of it):

“You were temp banned for 1h at biscuits event despite being warned to not use items outside of the kit. You verbally said in VC that you "didn't care" and continued to” (There’s something omitted/not communicated in that, but I’ll come back to it).

“That was the first time. Then when you came back after the 1h temp ban, you used your tools and wind charges to gain an advantage at Melanies maze event.”

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):

Well, I can’t really give you a reason. I got banned during Dorito’s parkour event whilst mid-air (out of, from my point of view at that time, nowhere). I will admit to using items I should not have during the Killathon, I have not denied that, and I will not deny that that was wrong. However, after this, as soon as something was declared off limits and I have seen the message I have no longer used said thing.

I will admit I did NOT read chat during Dorito’s parkour, I was locked in on parkouring I was just banned again out of nowhere after the temp ban earlier for “You have been warned”. (Which, admittedly, was correct. I can only attempt to explain why I did use those items during Killathon again.)
I personally do not believe that the kit that was distributed during the event gave us an adequate chance at fighting what are essentially one hit machines. You have wardens the size of baby zombies against unenchanted netherite. While that kit may be adequate for older mobs, it just does not hold up to things like wardens or 16+Blazes riding on a phantom or invulnerable spawner minecarts respawning stuff constantly. Not to mention that we were only told in the middle of the event about disposal signs (Of which I only knew AFTER I had already been temp banned) and the spot they are at was not safe to stand at.

This is where I come back to the part where I believe that something was omitted/not mentioned:
I also want to mention that I was in VC with Cil at the time and asked MULTIPLE TIMES about using the items to kill the wardens (which I stand my ground on that, those are WAY too strong for unenchanted Netherite) and got ignored, I did not see a single response. After about five minutes of asking and not getting a reply (in which Cil had plenty of time to ask me over /tell me how I even got the items, but I couldn’t reply since /r,  /tell and  /w  all didn’t work during the event). I eventually replied over VC but I’m not sure if they realised I was trying to reply to them.

I have mentioned time and again that in my view this kit needs to be revised and with that I did not mean the simple addition of a Netherite Spear. We have no mobility, no damage, no defence, no enchantments and lacking so many other things.

I got frustrated and used what I happened to have in my inventory (A copy of my god set, A copy of my main sword, a Density 5 Wind Burst 2 mace, a copy of the archivist’s rebuttal and a copy of my 20-heart-shield). (I spawned with those items in my inventory since I had them from other places where they have no actual value).


Before Dorito’s reply and help with the reasoning, These were my guesses:

- I lunged ONCE during the Backrooms (I did not have Fullbright during that but I can’t prove that so oh well), however, as soon as it was mentioned by Broadcast not to lunge, I stopped, when I used wind charges to get out of a hole which I guess but why did I not get banned right then and there?). I should also mention I did genuinely not see Biscuit’s “No Windcharges”, that’s on me. Using Swift Sneak pants (Which yes mine were higher level, but I don’t think about taking my armour off every time I enter a new place). While I know now that I was banned for these,
 
- When I lunge swapped in the PRE GAME HALLWAY of the parkour (Is lunge swapping with a copy of the archivist’s rebuttal a bannable offense now?) however there I could get no competitive advantage from it since it was a pre-game hallway.
 
I should also mention others didn’t stop using lunge, or other advantages. This information was gathered from AGamerOfAllTime’s stream (Hometown SMP Anniversary Celebration Extravaganza!), at 01:05:10 for example you can see YourVixen in the HG winner set (which increases Speed), at 01:05:14 they set their speed to 10 for a minute.

Additionally if you heard lunging but didn’t see it, after the No lunging chat msg THAT WAS NOT ME, that was FunnyBuddy(I don’t remember the numbers).

While I was the only one to cheese the Killathon and did deserve the temp ban for that, I was by far not the only person to cheese the maze and while I cannot prove if for example YourVixen used their armour through the entire thing, I would be surprised if they thought about taking off their armour when I didn’t because of my Swift Sneak, however that could just be me.
 
To address the wind charges, at the time I did not believe them to be such a big deal, especially because I had not seen the messages (which is on me). Now after having watched parts of AGamerOfAllTime’s stream, I was able to confirm you did send those chat messages, however I did not read them, as I was too locked in on finding the way out, so your ban regarding those is justified. However, I really do not understand what you mean by “tools” when the only thing I used (to my memory) was that one lunge swap at the start of the maze.
I would also like to mention that the ending room only triggered for me the fourth time I entered it.

Why do you want to come back:

I would like to have the possibility open. I could say that I hope I deserve a second chance, but like tenth chance would be more accurate.
This server has an amazing community, but it is obvious I am apparently not among them. I enjoy finding creative solutions and that does clash with what the events usually stand for.

However, I would like to see what I won from Half Heart Race (Though I can probably just forget that now) and I don’t like having closed doors remaining.
 
I have enjoyed the time I spent on the server and would like to continue playing on it. I do know why you do public appeals, but this appeal almost looked drastically differently had Dorito not so kindly supplied me with a concrete reasoning for my ban.

HT has been a part of my life for 2 years now and I have some pretty nice memories around, so I would like to keep those as well.

It may be a little strange for someone to draw a parallel to items, but I’ll try to explain this the best I can.

Player1 represents everything I like about this server. They’re the fire, the unyielding will to keep going and the help everyone receives, which is what my helmet does for me.

Player2 is the defence. The moderation. The legs this server stands on. The bare bones of what is HT and what makes it such a great place, exactly as my shield protects me.

And then there’s me. I’m the Void. The Unknown. The element, trying to forge a legacy and succeeding and failing alike. I try to make my way along, try to follow rules, but I find it too entertaining to find creative solutions. I completely understand that this is something that prevents me from being part of this community, however, I have offered in the past to use this to test things, to make sure I can’t cheese an event. Like the sword I wield, restraining its true power, yet letting it run wild once in a while.
I wish to return because HT is a place I made friends on. Helped people… and yes, destroyed people’s dreams too.  What good is a memory if it is only good. What good is a memory when you can live in it and it doesn't reflect reality at all. My best is apparently not enough, I acknowledge that and I do deserve this ban, I will not deny it.

I also won’t deny that I am human. We make mistakes. It’s how we learn. It’s how we grow, and it’s how we surpass ourselves. I’m not good at the latter three and I will admit that. That does not mean I am incapable. If I am allowed to return, I believe the best way for my mistakes to not repeat themselves is to either not give me the opportunity to participate in untested or cheesable events at all or give me the chance to cheese-proof them myself, even if that results in me not being allowed to participate in them due to knowing what they are.
 
Regardless of if I am allowed to return or not, I ask you to consider this: Change the Kit for Killathon and MWNL to fully enchanted items, especially protection 4 armour and sweeping edge 3 swords instead of unenchanted, add wind burst maces or lunge spears and wind charges and make /disposal accessible for everyone during the event so inventory management is possible in safe areas. I believe it would improve the quality of the events and people might be able to complete it without lighting the killfeed up every 15 seconds.
 
I know you do not want to write a wall of text every time we enter an event, but it is honestly the best way to keep me from using anything that I shouldn’t, especially because during events I tend to be too locked in to read chat, especially if it is moving as fast as it was.
 
I should also mention that I have written this appeal in Microsoft Word and used its correction tool where applicable, and then pasted it into the forums, however I have not used AI in any way (unless you count the correction system for grammar errors and such). If you believe this appeal to be AI-Written anyway, then that is that and I cannot make it right except maybe make spelling mistakes on purpose or something along those lines.
 
I hope to not have this door barred forever, in the end that is up to you though.
