Why should you be unbanned: The beacon was sitting in a forest in an unclaimed area near a ruined tower.  My brief investigation turned up no claims in the immediate area, but I didn't search for very long because I was still travelling to find a suitable home base.  I had assumed the player was no longer active, or it had been placed as a joke.  I will happily return the beacon.  I did not see any rules against picking up things on unclaimed land, but obviously I was in the wrong and would like to come back online if possible.

Why do you want to come back: This is the first decent server I've played on in a long time, and the community thus far has proven friendly and welcoming.

For future reference, the general rule of thumb is if you didn't build it, don't touch it. Hometown is an anti-grief server.

That being said, I understand that it was a simple mistake. Please return the beacon to a staff member.
