The bungee didn't work as expected, but it's still being actively worked on. That's about it.

Update for today: We were experiencing issues with Nether and End portals yesterday, which needed to be addressed since they're a pretty important part of gameplay. We seem to have managed to fix them today, but there is still the possibility of some screwups from glitches so beware!

We've installed Hyperdrive for allowing players to buy and set their own warps, which will be configured later today when Frost has more time. We've also settled on land claim amounts for GriefPrevention, which will also be configured later.

Unfortunately, it seems the bungee idea for connecting the old and new worlds isn't going to work out. Frost is considering simply having the old world as a separate server with no logging and whatnot, simply there for people to go back and show off their old work. This could mean we'll be unable to let people finish their old builds though, and we'll be unable to connect the two worlds' chat which we really wanted to do.

That has pretty major downsides of its own. The old world takes up quite a lot of hard drive space, so keeping it on the server to be accessed via /mvtp would eat up a lot of space for an inactive world. In addition, keeping it on the same server means we can't allow people to finish their builds for sure, because then there's no way to enable creative access to players on one world without giving the permission on all worlds. With a bungee cord we could have had two separate sets of config and permissions settings.

Space aside, a workaround without giving cre mode, is to have /give #item signs at a warp (or buy from server for free), like the now old spawn. It's more or less like cre, only you would warp to the spawn to get block.

Well, here we go: Our replacement grief prevention is now configured and set up, so that everyone gets 500 blocks of claim space to start, can get 64 more every time they vote (so they get 256, one chunk exactly, every day), and can buy more blocks in the server shop. HyperDrive is working, but isn't fully configured yet, so that'll take a bit longer when Frost can get back to it. Unfortunately, we seem to have discovered a strange issue that may have dated back to before this reset began: items with NBT data, which usually means player heads with custom textures applied, seem to be getting lost when an inventory containing them is unloaded - that is, when a player logs out and takes their inventory with them, or the server restarts with an item in a container, they revert to default state, which for heads means they become Steve. Placed blocks keep their data fine, but that means we can't open the head shop again until this is taken care of - unless we put the caveat that you cannot log out with one in your inventory or chest, which is just unreasonable! Strictly speaking, this wouldn't delay the opening of the server, but we're not fully sure what's causing this, and fixing it may involve updating more plugins - which naturally translates to taking more time to make sure things are working okay.

So we're in the home stretch, but we've got a lot of outdated stuff floating up to the surface that we're only just discovering now that we're doing spring cleaning, so to speak.

My prediction is coming true, it seems.
