Welcome to hometown! I'm a little bit new myself but I can tell you that the forums have been mostly used for ban appeals as of late, which I think is a shame because I'd love to immerse more into the forums with others. This server also has a discord, which can be found in the "talk to people" thread in off topic (I think)
I don't think it'll be difficult for you two to find a place in this server. Everyone is really nice and accepting, it's like a family!
