Why is X-raying bad: because it give me an unfair advantage over other players 

How does X-raying affect other players: it makes it so there are less resources for others and gives me a way to get more than them

How does X-raying affect the server's economy: it makes it so i can make a lot more money and wrecks the point of the server

If you really need an item what is a better way of getting it than using X-ray: I could grind in order to get said item. that is the way you are meant to get it

What have you learned from this ban: i have learned that X-raying is not the proper way to gain resources and you should grind rather than cheat in order to get the items/resources you want.
