How to Register on the Forums

and then Appeal a Ban

To create a new account on our forums, first click the green Register button in the upper right corner of the main forums page:

Next you'll need to agree to the Registration Agreement by clicking the "I Agree" button at the bottom:

Then, fill out the form on the next page, including a username and password, and an email address for recovery purposes. You'll also need to check the box for a Human Verification captcha, and enter our Minecraft server's IP address in the Security Question box (smp.hometownmc.com). You can change any account preferences you wish, timezone or language, etc. Once you're done, submit the form by clicking the button at the very bottom.

If you were only here to learn how to create an account, good news, you're finished!

If you also need to appeal a ban on our Minecraft or Discord server, continue on.

To appeal a ban, first you'll want to navigate to the Ban Appeals section of the General category of the main forums page: https://hometownmc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=10

Once there, please read the Ban Appeal Format thread created by our owner, Frost: https://hometownmc.com/forums/showthread.php?tid=3

It will explain how to properly appeal, and the rules of appealing a ban on the forums. Please be sure to read and follow these rules to ensure your ban appeal process is as swift and seamless as possible.

It also includes a template you must copy and paste and fill out in your new thread:

Once you have highlighted and copied this template, return to the main Ban Appeals section https://hometownmc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=10 

and scroll to the very bottom to click "New Thread" to create a new thread of your own. Do not post your ban appeal as a reply on anyone else's existing thread.

Paste the template into your New Thread, remove the "Your text" from each line and fill out your response to each prompt instead. 

If you do not use this template, you will be redirected to the Ban Appeal Format page and asked to do so.

Again, please read and follow the rules of appealing a ban, so your ban appeal process can be as swift and seamless as possible.
