Ban Appeal
#1
Server you were banned on (SMP/Discord): Home town

Minecraft username: It was Axton360 now Fadeddang

Reason for your ban (exactly what it says when you try to log in!): grand theft, beacon theft, and beacon base theft; that's a lot of theft! Haven't we been here before?

Who banned you: Essyjinx

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): 1 I havent done this type of theft before 2 now I realize this is the only server I played I regret it 3 sadly I'm forced by my loving dad to wright this so please let me back 4 I also left all my builds behind I will like to finish them up and continue being a Horder of random stuff it also sad it has to be really really good and my last one was me being on meds so don't cont on it this time VERY SORRY for the last time I was getting surgery

Why do you want to come back: nothing to do like to do something and continue my builds so I can do something

Also I had to change my account cause I lost the password so I am Axton360

Well, hello there.

Given your previous ban appeal, see attached, and your admission that your father made you do this appeal, *and* the multiple counts of grief and theft over a long period of time that, once discovered, led to your ban, I hope you understand that I will need a very good appeal to believe that you have truly learned your lesson.

The valuable blocks you broke, in total:

- (408) iron blocks
- (5) beacons
- (34) netherite blocks
- (1) ancient debris
- (1) emerlad block
- (1) emerald ore

You also took from chests, again merely counting the valuable blocks:
- (831) iron ore
- (395) gold ore
- (65) gold block
- (1208) gold ingot
- (9) emerald block
- (189) emerald
- (63) lapis ore
- (63) redstone ore

So I think you may further understand my misgivings.

Bearing all this in mind, please answer these questions:

- what is the impact of grief and theft on the server?
- what is the impact of grief and theft on other players?
- why does theft matter, even in a video game?

- what is the impact of grief and theft on the server?I think you mean what I left on the server the impact I made was to those who I have not seen play or even been on in the last two years
- what is the impact of grief and theft on other players? As they have not been on and I think that there /homes have been closed or deactivated as i thought that it was okay
- why does theft matter, even in a video game?left for me to me its taking something for my own advantage or to be honest to be a asshole but I would like to point out that i did it cause there homes weren't claimed and I thought there would be no consequence

i would never steal in real life its just to scary but getting banned is even worse

and for my other post for my ban Appeal I am very deeply sorry I did not no what I was thinking I have no excuse and I deserve being banned I find that I had to much worked on my projects just to leave them behind and I think that letting me go and this once is enough I swear I wont grief I wont steal and no beacon theft thats all.

Hm.

I'm afraid I didn't ask for how the ban affected you, or for excuses as to why you griefed. It does not matter that you thought no one would be affected, or how long the players were absent; all builds are considered claimed, regardless of how long they've been playing or not playing.

I asked you:

- what is the impact of grief and theft on the server?
- what is the impact of grief and theft on other players?
- why does theft matter, even in a video game?

Would you like to try to answer them again?

As a reminder, this is your second ban for grief; I would like to see some effort put into your responses, and that you have truly learned the lesson.

I didn't really understand but could you explain better sry heres what I think u mean
- what is the impact of grief and theft on the server?stealing stuff is bad and wrong
- what is the impact of grief and theft on other players?its bad on the players as they lost all the stuff they worked hard for
- why does theft matter, even in a video game?its for personel gain but I see its wrong

I'm not sure how much simpler I can make it. Your responses were about the ban impacted you, not other players or the server, as I asked. How you felt or what you lost for being banned for grief and theft was not relevant to the questions.

And again: I would like to see some effort put into your responses.

Yes, stealing stuff is bad and wrong; what impact does it have on the server?

Yes, it is bad on players as they lose their belongings; do you have anything more to say on that?

Yes, theft is for personal gain and wrong - do you have anything more to say on that, too?

The server you were banned on (SMP/Discord): Hometown I am not banned on Discord

Minecraft username: It was Axton360 but it is now Fadeddang

Reason for your ban (exactly what it says when you try to log in!): grand theft, beacon theft, and beacon base theft; that's a lot of theft! Haven't we been here before?

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): Impact on Players:

Loss of Resources and Progress: Players invest considerable time and effort in gathering resources, crafting items, and building structures. Theft undermines this progress, forcing players to start over and potentially discouraging them from continuing to participate.
Frustration and Disappointment: Having hard-earned items stolen can be incredibly frustrating and disheartening for players. It can lead to anger, betrayal, and a loss of trust in other players.
Disruption of Gameplay: Theft can disrupt the normal flow of gameplay, forcing players to spend time recovering lost items or implementing security measures to prevent future thefts. This can detract from the game's enjoyment and create a negative atmosphere on the server.
Erosion of Trust:

Loss of Trust Between Players: Theft betrays the trust that players rely on within the community, leading to paranoia, isolation, and a decline in social interaction.
Weakened CommunityLosingof trust damages relationships between players and weakens the spirit of collaboration and teamwork that should be central to the game.
Disruption of Server Economy: In servers with economies (trading, shops), frequent theft can destabilize the economy. It can erode trust in trade, making players less willing to engage in economic activities.

Long-term Effects:

Decline in Player Base: Theft can discourage new players from joining and can lead to a decline in the overall player base.
Damage to Server Reputation: A server with a reputation for frequent theft will become less attractive to players, negatively impacting its long-term viability.
Role of Server Rules and Enforcement: Clear server rules against theft and consistent enforcement of these rules are crucial to deterring theft and maintaining a healthy server environment.

Mitigating the Impact of Theft

Server administrators can take steps to mitigate the impact of theft:

Improved Security: Implementing player vaults, secure storage areas, and anti-griefing plugins can help protect player belongings.
Clear Server Rules and Consequences: Establishing clear rules against theft and implementing appropriate punishments for offenders can deter players from engaging in such behavior.
Community Building: Fostering a strong and supportive community where players feel safe and respected can help prevent and address theft issues.
