Mob spawning
#1
With a render distance of whatever hometown is (5?), how close do I have to be for my...
1. Nether portals to spawn pigmen?
2. Villages to spawn golems?
3. Ocean monument to spawn guardians?
4. Pistons to be activated with a redstone timer?
5. Sugar cane to grow?
6. Cows to become adults?
7. Wheat to grow?
8. Melons to grow?
9. Cacti to grow?
10. Hoppers to move items?
11. Hopper minecart to move and gather items?
12. Villagers to harvest my crops?
13. Pumpkins to grow?
14. Villagers to become adults?
15. Chickens to lay eggs?
16. Guardians to despawn
17. Zombie spawner to spawn zombies?

I want to know the minimum and maximum distances I can be from each.

I think it is the same as last time, because I remember somewhere on the forums, a staff member said that render distance and mob spawning would stay the same... not sure though.
~/warp wool (free sheep farm)
~/warp leshop (affordable items)
~/warp smelt (free smelters)

Spawn distance does not change with rander distance. Just as with vanilla single-player, enemy mobs will only spawn when farther than 24 blocks from a player, and will only move if within 32 blocks of a player, and will not spawn/instantly despawn beyond 128 blocks (which is farther than we can load if on a flat horizontal distance). Everything else will work as normal up to  (Render distance - 1) chunks from a player.

Thanks arrei! That helps a lot! Follow up questions: where do I need to stand for my guardian farm to be most efficient? What is the current render distance?
