Disappearing horses

My horse and my husbands horse just disappeared. I walked passed the horses to breed some chickens and  when i was done i turn around to walk back and our horses disappeared. what happened can we get them back somehow or is it a total loss. Sad

Catch a staff online or tell us the coordinates and we can spawn new ones or the old ones back.
