Hi Hometown,
I'm writing this appeal because I want a second chance on the server.
A few days before the ban my brother's pc broke down so I let him use my pc for a couple of days. He managed to log into my account and use xray on Hometown. I didn't realize he did that until I logged on the server and saw my ban message. After I saw the message I asked him what he did and he had used xray on the server.
Of course I am to blame for him being able to log into my account because he used my pc but I never knew he was using my account and that he was cheating. I know that it was my account and that I should've been more careful but please understand that I never wanted to cheat on the server. Hometown is actually my favorite server and it's where I spend most of my time. It took me forever to build my house from scratch and earn all of the money I had. There is no way I would've risked all of that just to cheat for a couple of in game $ like the amount of time I had spent would have never been equal to any amount
I already made sure it will never happen again and I am willing to do whatever it takes to get unbanned even if that means deleting everything I had. Please consider my appeal because I really miss the server and I would love to be a part of the community once again

Why do you want to come back: Tbh I've been thinking about the server for a while I joined a couple of other servers like snug or even donut but it never quite gave me the feel as hometown did alongside that I've spent So long in making my house and also had a decent inventory and balance I know that if I get unbanned by any chance I'll probably won't be able to keep any money it's not like it's a lot anyways but still I know it's the unfortunate reality but from the deepest part of my heart I beg u to consider this, I assure You I will make sure something like this Never HAPPENS again I know it's hard to believe but Please Please believe me

Hi Hometown,
I'm writing this appeal because I want a second chance on the server.

The More accurate version (Thank you Dorito, this made this so much more productive and took all the guessing work out of it):

“You were temp banned for 1h at biscuits event despite being warned to not use items outside of the kit. You verbally said in VC that you "didn't care" and continued to” (There’s something omitted/not communicated in that, but I’ll come back to it).

“That was the first time. Then when you came back after the 1h temp ban, you used your tools and wind charges to gain an advantage at Melanies maze event.”

Who banned you: “staff”

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):

Well, I can’t really give you a reason. I got banned during Dorito’s parkour event whilst mid-air (out of, from my point of view at that time, nowhere). I will admit to using items I should not have during the Killathon, I have not denied that, and I will not deny that that was wrong. However, after this, as soon as something was declared off limits and I have seen the message I have no longer used said thing.

I will admit I did NOT read chat during Dorito’s parkour, I was locked in on parkouring I was just banned again out of nowhere after the temp ban earlier for “You have been warned”. (Which, admittedly, was correct. I can only attempt to explain why I did use those items during Killathon again.)
I personally do not believe that the kit that was distributed during the event gave us an adequate chance at fighting what are essentially one hit machines. You have wardens the size of baby zombies against unenchanted netherite. While that kit may be adequate for older mobs, it just does not hold up to things like wardens or 16+Blazes riding on a phantom or invulnerable spawner minecarts respawning stuff constantly. Not to mention that we were only told in the middle of the event about disposal signs (Of which I only knew AFTER I had already been temp banned) and the spot they are at was not safe to stand at.

This is where I come back to the part where I believe that something was omitted/not mentioned:
I also want to mention that I was in VC with Cil at the time and asked MULTIPLE TIMES about using the items to kill the wardens (which I stand my ground on that, those are WAY too strong for unenchanted Netherite) and got ignored, I did not see a single response. After about five minutes of asking and not getting a reply (in which Cil had plenty of time to ask me over /tell me how I even got the items, but I couldn’t reply since /r, /tell and /w all didn’t work during the event). I eventually replied over VC but I’m not sure if they realised I was trying to reply to them.

I have mentioned time and again that in my view this kit needs to be revised and with that I did not mean the simple addition of a Netherite Spear. We have no mobility, no damage, no defence, no enchantments and lacking so many other things.

I got frustrated and used what I happened to have in my inventory (A copy of my god set, A copy of my main sword, a Density 5 Wind Burst 2 mace, a copy of the archivist’s rebuttal and a copy of my 20-heart-shield). (I spawned with those items in my inventory since I had them from other places where they have no actual value).

Before Dorito’s reply and help with the reasoning, These were my guesses:

- I lunged ONCE during the Backrooms (I did not have Fullbright during that but I can’t prove that so oh well), however, as soon as it was mentioned by Broadcast not to lunge, I stopped, when I used wind charges to get out of a hole which I guess but why did I not get banned right then and there?). I should also mention I did genuinely not see Biscuit’s “No Windcharges”, that’s on me. Using Swift Sneak pants (Which yes mine were higher level, but I don’t think about taking my armour off every time I enter a new place). While I know now that I was banned for these,

- When I lunge swapped in the PRE GAME HALLWAY of the parkour (Is lunge swapping with a copy of the archivist’s rebuttal a bannable offense now?) however there I could get no competitive advantage from it since it was a pre-game hallway.

I should also mention others didn’t stop using lunge, or other advantages. This information was gathered from AGamerOfAllTime’s stream (Hometown SMP Anniversary Celebration Extravaganza!), at 01:05:10 for example you can see YourVixen in the HG winner set (which increases Speed), at 01:05:14 they set their speed to 10 for a minute.

Additionally if you heard lunging but didn’t see it, after the No lunging chat msg THAT WAS NOT ME, that was FunnyBuddy(I don’t remember the numbers).

While I was the only one to cheese the Killathon and did deserve the temp ban for that, I was by far not the only person to cheese the maze and while I cannot prove if for example YourVixen used their armour through the entire thing, I would be surprised if they thought about taking off their armour when I didn’t because of my Swift Sneak, however that could just be me.

To address the wind charges, at the time I did not believe them to be such a big deal, especially because I had not seen the messages (which is on me). Now after having watched parts of AGamerOfAllTime’s stream, I was able to confirm you did send those chat messages, however I did not read them, as I was too locked in on finding the way out, so your ban regarding those is justified. However, I really do not understand what you mean by “tools” when the only thing I used (to my memory) was that one lunge swap at the start of the maze.
I would also like to mention that the ending room only triggered for me the fourth time I entered it.

Why do you want to come back:

I would like to have the possibility open. I could say that I hope I deserve a second chance, but like tenth chance would be more accurate.
This server has an amazing community, but it is obvious I am apparently not among them. I enjoy finding creative solutions and that does clash with what the events usually stand for.

However, I would like to see what I won from Half Heart Race (Though I can probably just forget that now) and I don’t like having closed doors remaining.

I have enjoyed the time I spent on the server and would like to continue playing on it. I do know why you do public appeals, but this appeal almost looked drastically differently had Dorito not so kindly supplied me with a concrete reasoning for my ban.

HT has been a part of my life for 2 years now and I have some pretty nice memories around, so I would like to keep those as well.

Creation Crown, Blessed Bulwark, Voidheld Reckoning.
[Player1], [Player2] and me.
It may be a little strange for someone to draw a parallel to items, but I’ll try to explain this the best I can.

Player1 represents everything I like about this server. They’re the fire, the unyielding will to keep going and the help everyone receives, which is what my helmet does for me.

Player2 is the defence. The moderation. The legs this server stands on. The bare bones of what is HT and what makes it such a great place, exactly as my shield protects me.

And then there’s me. I’m the Void. The Unknown. The element, trying to forge a legacy and succeeding and failing alike. I try to make my way along, try to follow rules, but I find it too entertaining to find creative solutions. I completely understand that this is something that prevents me from being part of this community, however, I have offered in the past to use this to test things, to make sure I can’t cheese an event. Like the sword I wield, restraining its true power, yet letting it run wild once in a while.
I wish to return because HT is a place I made friends on. Helped people… and yes, destroyed people’s dreams too. What good is a memory if it is only good. What good is a memory when you can live in it and it doesn't reflect reality at all. My best is apparently not enough, I acknowledge that and I do deserve this ban, I will not deny it.

I also won’t deny that I am human. We make mistakes. It’s how we learn. It’s how we grow, and it’s how we surpass ourselves. I’m not good at the latter three and I will admit that. That does not mean I am incapable. If I am allowed to return, I believe the best way for my mistakes to not repeat themselves is to either not give me the opportunity to participate in untested or cheesable events at all or give me the chance to cheese-proof them myself, even if that results in me not being allowed to participate in them due to knowing what they are.

Regardless of if I am allowed to return or not, I ask you to consider this: Change the Kit for Killathon and MWNL to fully enchanted items, especially protection 4 armour and sweeping edge 3 swords instead of unenchanted, add wind burst maces or lunge spears and wind charges and make /disposal accessible for everyone during the event so inventory management is possible in safe areas. I believe it would improve the quality of the events and people might be able to complete it without lighting the killfeed up every 15 seconds.

I know you do not want to write a wall of text every time we enter an event, but it is honestly the best way to keep me from using anything that I shouldn’t, especially because during events I tend to be too locked in to read chat, especially if it is moving as fast as it was.

I should also mention that I have written this appeal in Microsoft Word and used its correction tool where applicable, and then pasted it into the forums, however I have not used AI in any way (unless you count the correction system for grammar errors and such). If you believe this appeal to be AI-Written anyway, then that is that and I cannot make it right except maybe make spelling mistakes on purpose or something along those lines.

I hope to not have this door barred forever, in the end that is up to you though.

i want to be completely honest with you guys because i know the rules are clear and lying or making excuses will only make it worse. I messed up big time today on my very first day on the server. I downloaded an xray texture pack out of stupid curiosity just to see how it works on a multiplayer server, and i logged in with it active. When i found those diamonds and typed "finally i have 10 diamonds" in the public chat, i was just being really immature and thoughtless. I realize now that Essayjinx was watching me in spectator mode, and i totally deserve the ban for breaking the fair play rules. Im not trying to make excuses at all, i just want to own up to my mistake and apologize for what i did.

I made a huge mistake by using xray on a survival server, it totally messes up the economy and its not fair to other players who actually put in hours to mine and grind for their resources honestly. I should have just played the game normally like everyone else, gone into caves with regular torches, and mined like I was supposed to. Instead i took a shortcut and cheated, which im really ashamed of especially since i ruined my reputation on the server right from the start. Ive already deleted the texture pack from my device completely. Im willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. If you want to wipe my inventory, clear my ender chest, or put me on probation so staff can keep an eye on me all the time, im completely okay with that. I just want a chance to start over, play fair, and be a good member of this community. I know I messed up but im hoping you will give me another chance to prove myself.

im really disappointed in myself for getting banned from HometownMC so quickly. I had been looking for a good active survival smp for a while, and this server seemed perfect because the community was friendly and the server runs so smoothly. But i messed up on my first day and now i really regret it. I want to start fresh, play completely fair, and build a proper base without any cheats or shortcuts. Id love to be a part of the community and enjoy the classic minecraft survival experience with everyone else. If you give me another chance, i promise to follow the rules and you will never see my name in the ban logs again. I def Heart

I downloaded an xray texture pack out of stupid curiosity just to see how it works on a multiplayer server, and i logged in with it active. When i found those diamonds and typed "finally i have 10 diamonds" in the public chat, i was just being really immature and thoughtless. I realize now that Essayjinx was watching me in spectator mode, and i totally deserve the ban for breaking the fair play rules. Im not trying to make excuses at all, i just want to own up to my mistake and apologize for what i did.

I made a huge mistake by using xray on a survival server, it totally messes up the economy and its not fair to other players who actually put in hours to mine and grind for their resources honestly. I should have just played the game normally like everyone else, gone into caves with regular torches, and mined like I was supposed to. Instead i took a shortcut and cheated, which im really ashamed of especially since i ruined my reputation on the server right from the start. Ive already deleted the texture pack from my device completely. Im willing to do whatever it takes to make things right. If you want to wipe my inventory, clear my ender chest, or put me on probation so staff can keep an eye on me all the time, im completely okay with that. I just want a chance to start over, play fair, and be a good member of this community. I know I messed up but im hoping you will give me another chance to prove myself.

im really disappointed in myself for getting banned from HometownMC so quickly. I had been looking for a good active survival smp for a while, and this server seemed perfect because the community was friendly and the server runs so smoothly. But i messed up on my first day and now i really regret it. I want to start fresh, play completely fair, and build a proper base without any cheats or shortcuts. Id love to be a part of the community and enjoy the classic minecraft survival experience with everyone else. I know you are busy and I am sorry to bother you again, but I just feel so terrible about what I did. I am completely new to this server, and my friends were so excited for me to join them. They always talk about how amazing HometownMC is, and I ruined everything on my very first day because of my stupid curiosity.
Right now, my friends are online playing on the server, and I am just sitting here staring at the screen, feeling so left out and guilty. I really miss them, and it hurts knowing I can't join their adventure just because of one dumb mistake.
I promise I have completely wiped that pack from my device. I don't want any diamonds or items, I just want to play with my friends fairly. Please, I beg you for a second chance. I won't let you down. ?

However, I do like the server and I feel like if I were to come back I could try to make it better with my own "charm" and my enjoyment of the kind of community. I try to make and do things that help the server as a whole for the most part, and have plans in the future for something very fun for the server if I do get unbanned. I got greedy and made a stupid choice (a few stupid choices actually) but I did a bit of an interesting thing to rectify that (further down in appeal). Also, Given that I only xrayed for diamonds then sold them, to rectify it, I'll just pay back the money I got from selling the diamonds to the person I sold them to, then everything should be back as it was before.

Why do you want to come back: I want to finish my casino, complete my contract I had with Rot, Finish Nooberg (and make it better), continue helping new players, and not let the 45$ I spent on VIP3 go to waste because I made one (or two) stupid decision(s). I do like this server and am considering trying to make some content on it in the future. I was a bit rash in saying "I'm not burdened by not being allowed back" mainly due to me being a bit irritable recently due to external factors. I might possibly do some livestreams and some videos to try to get back into YouTube. Free advertising for you, free content for me, and all sorts of neat stuff for everyone all around. After all, I'd treat it as my retirement from PvP, so I can have a more chill place to vibe and just kinda settle down in a cool and fun community of peeps that actually get along. Every server I've usually played on is just fueled by conflict, so having a server directly the opposite definitely is neat.

My extra note before you continue this appeal (Please read):
Because of my last appeal's denial, I'd like to first apologize for being a bit of a smartass in my first appeal. I was annoyed at being treated like basically a child, for incorrectly thinking that my appeal was assumed to being AI generated (which it wasn't, nor is this one), and have had some pent up emotional stress from certain IRL things that've happened relatively recently so it kind of bubbled over into me being a bit of a jerk, so I'm sorry for my attitude, cause as uber said, this isn't the place to be a smart-ass.
However, I do stick by my statements of "publicly viewable appeals are weird" however given that according to Uber, "Players don't mock others for appealing" I guess it's not as bad as I assumed it'd be. I'm used to the PvP community and how toxic, aggressive, and quick to insult they tend to be, especially towards people that have to appeal a cheating ban of any kind, so excuse my expectations on that one specifically. I've played PvP for almost 12 years at this point so the concept of "people hate me for just existing" kind of is drilled into my brain, so my annoyance with the public appeal process stems from the concept of disliking "public humiliation" and that's about it, so yeah sorry for that too.

Also, I did say something specific in my last appeal about how "I don't want to have to do schoolyard punishments like writing "I will not xray" on 100 signs" and I stick by that statement wholeheartedly. Nobody should have to write "I Will Not Xray" on 100 signs.

Hope this is sufficient enough effort on my part to warrant an unban, but if it doesn't, well. It's been fun. I don't expect to re-answer the questions I answered in the 2nd half of my first appeal if they're just copy pasted again, as I already gave my thoughts on "why it's wrong to xray" and all those questions in my previous appeal. I got greedy and wanted to make as much money as possible as fast as possible, so I circumvented the "being legit" part and just went from point A to Z. I was getting tired of having to just RTP around and pray to find a cave in res that hadn't been cleaned out completely, so yeah I did the stupid. However, I like the vibes and community of this place, so if I do get unbanned, I won't be doing that again. Deleting all the funny see thru things packs and keeping myself fair and balanced. I have no excuses or anything as justification, Not going to bother with that one cause there's no real justification. I just got greedy, which is on me. All I can really say is I'm sorry. Not just for getting caught but for being dumb enough to decide to try to game the system. The house always wins after all, never try to gamble that they don't have everything locked down.

Why do you want to come back: This was going to be my sort of "Retirement" server from PvP. I like the vibes of the people and the insane creativity of the community, and am frankly kind of happy that this server has such a locked down anticheat and anti exploit system that they can know people are doing stupid stuff while not even online. That kind of server is really what I've been looking for in terms of a "retirement server". It's far better than most servers I've played with similar premises. Also I'd like to come back eventually so I can finish the rest of my casino and build Rottentinfoil the penthouse suite I have a contract with them for, and to be able to continue to help new players get their footing. I honestly really like this place, and am sorry for deciding to break the rules. Also I was considering starting to make content on this server or streaming it when I'm online, that way both free advertising for the server, I might get some following, and I can prove to being legit all the time. Otherwise I'll likely just go back to PvP, as that's kind of the only real thing I've been good
at.

I got greedy and wanted to make as much money as possible as fast as possible, so I circumvented the "being legit" part and just went from point A to Z. I was getting tired of having to just RTP around and pray to find a cave in res that hadn't been cleaned out completely, so yeah I did the stupid. However, I like the vibes and community of this place, so if I do get unbanned, I won't be doing that again. Deleting all the funny see thru things packs and keeping myself fair and balanced. (Also I'll be repaying the 100k or so I earned from selling diamonds back to the person I sold them to, if that hasn't happened already.) HometownMC has been my favorite server for a very long time. I have invested a lot of hours into this community, from building up my house to finally earning an elytra. I genuinely had so much fun playing here every day, and it hurts to know that I ruined that experience for myself and potentially for others because of a bad decision.
I miss the server and wish more than anything that I could see my house again and rejoin the community. If you are willing to give me a second chance, I promise to return any stolen items immediately, strictly follow all the server rules, and never steal again.
