Reason for your ban Using xray zero tolerance policy

Who banned you: Steasaur

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):So firstly i make my own resource packs i was working on making a one that outlines blocks or makes them exactly more visible to me for example when mining they will shine brightly thats why i also asked earlier if the server supported other versions lucas can vouch for that if he remember and yes it was pretty dumb of me to test this in a server but i was too lazy this was my fault it probably looked like xraying cause the ores were displayed to me too brightlyand i was like "I mean if they are already shown might aswell collect them and work on the resource pack to make it not work like an xray" and yes this was wrong it felt wrong but i can be quite greedy which i am not particularly proud of i wont do it again and i learn from my mistakes so ill next time just use a testing world very sorry for causing a scene like this.

Why do you want to come back:I really wanna come back to the server cause ive met many great people there and its a way for me to play with a very good friend of mine which i normally cant play with due to timezones or lack of interest we share in games nonetheless if i ever go against the rules again u wont need to appeal me i will accept that ban, but do please enable me a second chance that would be greatly appreciated by me.

Hi boraxxx,

I've read through your ban appeal and I have to say I'm confused because I have a texture pack that makes ores shine a little brighter too and that's absolutely not the reason I banned you. Nothing against the rules with making ores sparkly but there is a clear rule on x-ray. 

Before I share the evidence I want to draw your attention to this on the discord:

Colour me confused because here you say it was a mining strategy but on this thread you say it was a texture pack.

Do you wish to have another crack at this ban appeal?

So to make u less confused that texture pack I made btw made the ores too bright making it kind of act like X-ray and since it’s a mining related Resource pack I tested some mining strats to see if they worked with the resource pack to back it up that they worked too if u scroll down and read alot more u wouldve seen me mention that too or atleast tried to explain it in a state of shock. I still need to fix the resource pack a lot u see so it doesn’t act like an X-ray I’ve gave it alot of thought and realized people take hours and hours to get their stuff here on this server and I was just gonna do it in a few minutes by using a half baked resource pack that i basically used like an X-ray? Sounds unfair and I know and I regret. I want to redeem myself somehow if there is something I could do for the server Right now I would. Sorry for not writing this in the forum structure it’s just a reply to steasur

Can you please explain in detail what this looks like with the ores in-game?

If you have a picture that would be ideal and I can compare it to your mining pattern as assess if there is a reasonable argument to be had here.

I can’t really get a picture anymore since I fully fixed it cause like I said I was gonna work on it but the ores would basically have this outline yes and it was kind of buggy and Redstone ore even appeared as the missing texture block so back to the description the diamond ore had a cyan outline where I was testing brightnesses and it was way too light at the start like so light that it would flicker through other blocks Do I need to elaborate more?

I have one clarifying question then, you weren't actually able to see through solid blocks? Not even the outline you speak of?

Everytime I looke down at the ground or up at the ceiling, anywhere where there was an ore the outline of the ores would flicker through other blocks is that short and specific enough ?

Yes I'd say that's specific enough and thank you for answering my questions thus far with honesty.

Although not x-ray in the specific sense of the word you have very clearly seen ores through other blocks. I just wanted to be 100% sure that was the case before we move ahead with your appeal.

Please answer the following questions for me with at least three sentences each.

2. [b][i]Why is x-raying harmful to the economy?[/i][/b]

3. How will you mine in future to avoid this happening again?

The dangers of allowing unfinished texture packs or texture packs that give u unfair advantages like a pre mature X-ray could greatly harm the economy and give u a non rightfully earned head start which is unfair for everyone else and ruins the expierence even for the player who’s using it.

[b][i]If everyone used X-ray the economy would crumble the money wouldn’t be worth anything anymore like hyperinflation basically cause if money is so easy to get why would u even sell it for the same price and if someone didn’t use x ray they will have no chance to cope with price changes also the people actually grind for the items that are being sold so if u get a bunch of money through x-raying and just buy everything that’s in stock it’ll be unfair for the people who worked for that cash and now can’t buy anything cause of someone else’s selfishness [/i][/b]

3. How will you mine in future to avoid this happening again?

In the future I’ll avoid using texture packs like this especially unfinished once and I’ll never abuse the unfinished flaws of any resource pack again especially if it gives me an unfair advantage over others I have caused a lot of non needed commotion and I’ll never abuse any kind of resource pack ever again in anyway I promise.

Thank you for answering my questions.

You seem to have an understanding for why using these texture packs isn't allowed and how it can effect the server so I'm inclined to approve your appeal.

All your diamond/netherite gear has been destroyed and your balance rest to $0.

As a word of advice please be careful when trying out new texture packs of this nature as they are still considered cheats and if in doubt as to what is or isn't allowed ask any staff and we will be happy to answer.
