This is apparently a very unpopular opinion but the old netherrack texture is so much better than the new one. Programmer textures are much nicer than standard textures imo.

Personally I think end stone would make a great addition to an underwater city. Brighter colors like white (and off-white, like end stone) gives me a sense of royalty =)
