Nah, I know what you mean about the server. A lot's changed since I first logged on. The town I made my first build in is completely abandoned; it's so old it doesn't have logs anymore, and the players don't show up on /seen. Looking back to that time, it feels like a different world. The people and community were different back then, but it's likely because I've changed too. I wasn't social when I first joined, tbh I one of the first thoughts I had about the server was "Lol wtf is this place, a tutorial? Fuck thaaaat." A few weeks later, I did the tutorial anyways and began playing. My name was rarely ever in chat since I didn't speak all that much. (Lex was the reason I stayed, for some reason I thought she was cool or something idk).
It's a lot more chaotic now than it was then, but I wouldn't say it changed for the worse. It changed in the respect that you wanted it to. You could make friends or lose friends, involve yourself or isolate yourself. I started talking to people (they're mostly nerds) and trying to work on my place in the community. It's been over a year now, I have no idea how long I've really been here, but using /seen on someone I used to spend time with, it's been over a year and five months. The "umph" is still there, it's just harder to find between all the new players.
