Most Smp servers out there have a 24/7 dynmap plugin which shows a realtime updated version of the map this could be helpful when building in an area sa you can check which areas have been built around and it gives new players a new way to find areas to build in and not cause damage or harm with new builds overlapping old ones which i see very often in the chat Now? I find an important aspect of survival is discovery. You should have to find areas, not use a map to find where you want.
