I want to play with all of you on the server, but i see that i am banned, because i cursed everyone in the chat.
I will be honest with you guys because i don't remember at all what I did on the server before I cursed everyone and i doesn't know even why i cursed everyone.

But if I hurt anyone there somehow, I really want to apologize about my actions back then.
And i also really want to know that there is no one that is still hurts from my actions, until this day.

I really want to turn a new page with all of you, and start over.

By the way,

If i had a house on the server with my stuff still inside it, i will pay with my stuff like a fine, which will be divided to those who i hurt back then.
I'm even willing to give up everything I still own for those who got hurt because of me.

20gt HT-optimized Wither Cage

I've been meaning to make a tutorial on how to set up these cages about more than a year ago, but being the champion of sidetracking, I have only got around to doing it now. This has about 5x10x6 footprint, and uses only two important entities: a snow golem and a Wither. It is possible to eliminate the snow golem and have a 20gt clocked dispenser firing at the Wither instead, but this requires a constant supply of snowballs.

Because of Hometown's GriefPrevention plugin, the snow golem can be built in any biome (they will not melt) and protected using the ProtectNamedMobs claimflag.

Pros:

Very small (significantly smaller and cheaper than vanilla Wither cages!).

Easy to set up.

Processes 43.2k blocks per hour.

Modular.

Cons:

Noisy (this can be circumvented by lowering the volume of Hostile entities in the volume mixer).

Extremely rarely, the Wither can escape (toggling /claimexplosions prevents the Wither from escaping its cage entirely, and you can reset the Wither's position without killing it by pushing the walls).

Tutorial:
https://youtu.be/KFMk16v4EsQ

To create a new account on our forums, first click the green Register button in the upper right corner of the main forums page:

Next you'll need to agree to the Registration Agreement by clicking the "I Agree" button at the bottom:

Then, fill out the form on the next page, including a username and password, and an email address for recovery purposes. You'll also need to check the box for a Human Verification captcha, and enter our Minecraft server's IP address in the Security Question box (smp.hometownmc.com). You can change any account preferences you wish, timezone or language, etc. Once you're done, submit the form by clicking the button at the very bottom.

If you were only here to learn how to create an account, good news, you're finished!

If you also need to appeal a ban on our Minecraft or Discord server, continue on.

To appeal a ban, first you'll want to navigate to the Ban Appeals section of the General category of the main forums page: https://hometownmc.com/forums/forumdisplay.php?fid=10

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):
As the evidence against me are abundantly clear, I will be brief and concise, for unnecessary verbosity can only increase my culpability. Originally published March 2025

The HomeTown Server (hereafter referred to as "the Server" or "Server") requires completion of its tutorial, acceptance of the HomeTown Forums' Terms of Service Agreement, or agreement to the Discord rules. Completion of any of these actions constitutes a tacit contract stating that you have read, understand, and will abide by the following rules and policies applicable to the specific platform being accessed. Failure to comply may result in appropriate punishment of the offending person(s) at the discretion of the Server, Discord, and/or forums staff team(s).
Preamble
This rulebook has been evaluated and approved by the staff team prior to its ratification. All information and rulings have been determined to be fair and accurate. All rules and punishments listed here are the direct result of either the original rules [Founder] frostVINCENT put forth during the creation of the Server or from precedent-setting incidents requiring staff intervention and formal adjudication. The purpose of this rulebook is to establish a publicly accessible framework that ensures consistent, just, and well-reasoned decision-making by the staff team. All punishments will be grounded in the rules and principles outlined herein. Any amendments, revocations, or modifications to this rulebook will be documented in the Change Log section with the corresponding date of enactment.
Definition of Staff Team
For the purposes of these rules, the "staff team" refers to the designated personnel responsible for enforcing community guidelines and maintaining order.

“Server Staff" (also referred to as “staff” or “the staff team”) includes Guardians, Moderators, and Administrators, who enforce in-game rules, manage player behavior, and oversee Server operations. The list of Server staff can be found in-game at /warp StaffMembers.

“Forum Staff" are comprised of Moderators and Administrators on the Server, who regulate forum discussions, enforce forum-specific rules, and maintain orderly discourse. A full list of forum staff can be found here.

”Discord Staff” includes all Server staff, noted by a green rank in Discord, and Discord staff, noted by a light blue rank in Discord. These staff operate in identical fashions and regulate Discord discussions, enforce Discord-specific rules, and maintain orderly discourse.

Punishments
HomeTown maintains community stability via clearly defined rules that regulate player conduct and enforce consequences for violations. To address rule-breaking, the staff team follows a progressive disciplinary system, applying punishments that escalate based on the severity of the offense and the player's history of prior infractions. The starting point for enforcement is determined by these factors. Any attempt to evade or circumvent a punishment will result in a more severe penalty without exception.
Punishments are categorized into four escalating levels - Level 0, Level 1, Level 2, and Level 3 - each carrying increasing restrictions based on the severity and frequency of offenses. The following section outlines these levels in detail.
Level 0: Written Warnings, Player Kicks, Jail, and Temporary Mutes. Written warnings are issued for low-severity violations and serve as formal notices that a player's behavior is not acceptable on the Server. If a player is not online when the warning is given, the warning will show up in their chat the first time they log in to the Server afterward. Player kicks are brief, forced disconnections from the Server, typically due to chat disruptions or minor misconduct. Kicked players may rejoin the Server immediately after they are kicked. The reason for the kick will be stated in the kick message, and the kick itself is viewed as a warning against further infractions of a similar nature. Jailing is used as a temporary in-game confinement for players whose behavior requires immediate correction such as griefing, refusing to cooperate with staff, or ignoring direct instructions. The duration and conditions of jail time are determined by the responding staff member based on the circumstances of the offense. Temporary mutes are applied to players who repeatedly violate chat rules despite prior warnings. Temporary mutes start at five minutes and increase progressively if the behavior continues after the mute expires. These mutes are meant to curb disruptive communication and encourage compliance with the Server's chat policies.
Level 1: Temporary Bans. For mild rule infractions, a player may be barred from the Server via a temporary ban. These bans are automatically lifted after the designated time has elapsed and do not require a ban appeal. Attempts to appeal a temporary ban may be denied at the staff team's discretion.
Level 1a: Post-Appeal Temporary Bans. In certain cases, particularly for major offenses such as x-ray usage, the staff team may impose a temporary ban even after a ban appeal has been accepted. This additional punishment is enforced when prolonged restrictions are deemed necessary to reinforce Server rules and deter repeat offenders.
Level 2: Standard Bans. Bans are given to players who have engaged in a moderate breach of the Server's rules. A ban will remain in effect indefinitely until the offender submits a correctly formatted appeal through the Server forums. Appeals are reviewed at the discretion of the staff team, and a ban will only be lifted if the appeal is accepted. Failure to submit a properly formatted appeal, demonstrate an understanding of the infraction, or show intent to follow Server rules may result in the appeal being denied. Repeatedly submitting frivolous or insincere appeals may lead to additional penalties.
Level 3: Permanent Bans. This punishment is the most severe disciplinary action and results in a permanent ban from the Server, with no option to appeal. This punishment is reserved for players who engage in exploitation, the use of racial slurs, IP-advertising, or other actions that cause severe harm to the Server or its community. Permanent bans are typically non-appealable, and unbans are granted only in exceptional circumstances at the sole discretion of the staff team. Attempts to appeal a permanent ban will generally be denied unless compelling evidence or justification is provided.
HomeTown Forums Rules
The punishments outlined for the Minecraft Server do not apply to the forums, and forum violations are handled separately. Forum-specific enforcement actions may be issued as deemed necessary by the forum staff team. Failure to comply with these rules may result in warnings, temporary forum bans, permanent forum bans, or full forum purges (a ban accompanied by the permanent removal of all post history). The enforcement of these actions is at the sole discretion of the forum staff team.
HomeTown is a privately owned entity, and the staff team has complete and total authority to censor or moderate the community to maintain order. Do not engage in arguments with staff about what qualifies as spam.

The punishments outlined for the Minecraft Server do not apply to the forums, and forum violations are handled separately. Forum-specific enforcement actions may be issued as deemed necessary by the forum staff team. The enforcement of these actions is at the sole discretion of the forum staff team.

I used a conduit to be able to breathe underwater, and will of course take the next logical step of building Atlantis. What bricks, designs, or inspiration do you guys think is good? I like Prismarine but I find it difficult to use (Besides dark prismarine for the roof) because of the patterns being weird and the stone changing color. I'm thinking of using terracotta or something similar like stone bricks but either one is good. Maybe wrecked ships too.

right now I think blue and cyan concrete, terracotta, and maybe some added prismarine/sandstone/quartz variants would come together nicely. Dark blue dyed concrete and terracotta might be too close to the actual ocean color to my liking, but I am open to trying it. Concrete powder or coral would fit nicely as well especially for the gardens of Atlantean people.

The Town of Pupanunu Village

Pupanunu Village was a primitive town in a jungle until they discovered Redstone and quickly industrialized. The downtown is primitive and mostly made of mud bricks and jungle wood, but a short train ride uptown gives a nice view of a modern neighborhood sectioned with paths and lit by purple froglights on Purpur pillars. Taking the next minecart rail, you end up at the village's nether portal and a large base for a build that another builder was apparently working on before they were banned, and that is preserved by the village as a cultural heritage site that tourists are encouraged to visit. They hold sacred axolotls, sniffers, and mangroves (Not like you want to put in the work of chopping those down anyway) and therefore do not harm any of those.

Use /warp pupanunu to visit and explore, and if you're interested in joining the tribe give tribute of any item and we will grant you land in our village in exchange.

Server you were banned on (SMP/Discord): SMP

Minecraft name: Ragokyo

Reason for your ban (exactly what it says when you try to log in!): Sedition. Appeal your ban at http://www.hometownmc.com/forums, it better be really good.

Who banned you: The entire staff team

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): If I stay banned, who's going to restock /warp daddies?

Why do you want to come back:

Never have I ever intended to disrupt the harmony of the Minecraft community on Hometown, but if I did, I'm
gonna start by expressing my sincere apologies if my actions were misconstrued. Please
give me a chance to clarify the situation and provide context for my actions:
you, the moderation team, are entrusted with maintaining peace on Hometown. I do not doubt that. But
up until today, I was under the impression that I have been a passive player, and never had to write an appeal for organized rebellion.
Never would I knowingly engage in activities promoting sedition within Minecraft. I must have been mistaken for someone else. Despite this, I'm
gonna assure you of my commitment to abiding by the rules and regulations.
Let me assure you that my intentions were never malicious.
You, the moderators, play a vital role in maintaining a positive gaming environment.
Down the line, I hope you will accept my appeal, and have my unbanning be swift.

Thank you for your consideration.
