Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I understand x-ray as itself can give me an advantage (more cash) and could disadvantage others by possibly ruining the economy and upping the scarcity of it. I apologize sincerly and hope that I can return once again.

Why do you want to come back: I still enjoy my time in the server and with its community even though I might have had my ups and downs with them from time to time. I believe this is my first.. major violation. (that is no excuse, just seeing if that could play in the scale.) I would appreciate it if the team considered accepting this appeal. Thanks.

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):Welp, it's time to face the facts, I'm a shitty person. I've never been more regretful of the actions I've taken. I had been told clearly that I wasn't allowed to step foot in the loft, and I clearly didn't listen and did anyway, so here is the apology to the community and Rotten. The reasons for my actions are confusing, even for me to understand. I would best describe it as a sick way of getting on someone else's nerves that I dislike. I felt as though doing this would make me feel better about myself, but it has only made me feel worse. The actions I've taken (trespassing) and a general annoyance of another human being are regrettable, and I am greatly disappointed in myself for doing it. I will improve on myself immediately to become a good human being instead of a sack of shit.

Why do you want to come back:
I wish to return to this server due to the number of people I've interacted with and the friends I've made. Even though I see why people don't want me back on the server because of my flaws as a human being, I still wish to have a second chance to make things right. I would have never met some of the nicest people if I hadn't joined the server, and imagining myself never seeing them again is a fate worse than getting banned. If this Appeal is unsatisfactory, I will be making another if needed.

Reason for your ban (exactly what it says when you try to log in!): Fly hacking.

Who banned you: Nether_Ruler

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I wasn't hacking. You can fly by double-tapping the space bar in spawn. As soon as you leave spawn (go onto the white bridges leaving the large blue building at spawn) while flying, it revokes the ability to fly, you fall to the ground, and it deals fall damage. I talked about this in chat after finding this potential bug (the fall damage), I was called annoying, and I was falsely banned. 

Why do you want to come back: I was looking for a small-to-medium SMP and found this server. I would like to see if this server is what I was looking for in an SMP. 

I've been meaning to make a tutorial on how to set up these cages about more than a year ago, but being the champion of sidetracking, I have only got around to doing it now. This has about 5x10x6 footprint, and uses only two important entities: a snow golem and a Wither. It is possible to eliminate the snow golem and have a 20gt clocked dispenser firing at the Wither instead, but this requires a constant supply of snowballs.

Because of Hometown's GriefPrevention plugin, the snow golem can be built in any biome (they will not melt) and protected using the ProtectNamedMobs claimflag.

Pros:

• Very small (significantly smaller and cheaper than vanilla Wither cages!).
  
• Easy to set up.
  
• Processes 43.2k blocks per hour.
  
• Modular.
  

• Noisy (this can be circumvented by lowering the volume of Hostile entities in the volume mixer).
  
• Extremely rarely, the Wither can escape (toggling /claimexplosions prevents the Wither from escaping its cage entirely, and you can reset the Wither's position without killing it by pushing the walls).

I wanted to redeem myself for having stolen his house in some way. If I could return to the server,I will never do something like that again

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): Well, i honestly hardly remember this incident, given the time period i was probably under the influence to be honest. But that doesn't excuse my behavior. I've recovered from substance abuse if that matters at all. I understand how X-raying can devalue the mining of other players. I recognize that ive both impacted the experiences of other players and myself drastically. I sincerely apoligize for my actions

Why do you want to come back: I wanna come back because i have positive connections with both the things that ive built and the people that ive met on this server. I'd like to re-enter this community and start interacting with it positively.

I've been tasked to answer the following questions for the slight chance of an unban:

1. Do you understand why racial slurs need to permanent bans? 
2. How are you going to avoid this sort of behavior in the future? 
3. Do you understand that if you are to be unbanned, you're on extremely thin ice and another ban will very likely result in a truly permanent ban?
4. Is there anything you want to say to Poke or the rest of the community? 



Answers


1) I now understand how racial slurs lead to perm bans. Racial slurs were made and still are used to carry harmful and deeply impactful meanings that can hurt many players on this smp as well as make them feel unsafe and insecure in a server that's supposed to be safe and a place to chill with friends for all communities. I now realise how racial slurs only harm this reality. I believe how responding with a perm ban is a perfectly reasonable, fair and serious consequence for my harmful attempt to gain comedic attraction from other players which is immature and irresponsible.

2) I have taken moments to self reflect on my actions and I now realise how it affects the mental wellbeing of other players. I'll consistently reflect on messages I post or reply with to make sure I can communicate safely and maturely while not sending disrespect to other members of the server. I'll avoid edgy jokes that may seem to be disrespectful and spiteful as well as trying my hardest to be more compassionate/careful when talking, develop a better reputation and positively influence myself and others in the future. I now know how many players unknowingly depend on how the community runs and thrives. And I will try will all that strength to show respect and help keep the community nourished and civilised.

3) Yes by a mile. Getting unbanned from a permanent ban isn't supposed to be taken lightly. I now realise that if I get unbanned, I will be on insanely thin ice and will have to accept that it'll my final chance on the server. I will try my absolute hardest to not receive another ban which may likely be a truly perm ban and, if unbanned, will continuously remain positively respectful and remain low profile for the foreseeable future with every message I send being humble . while avoiding potential further bans that could possibly everlastingly kick me out of the server for good.

4) I have two messages that I wish to share

Poke: I am profoundly sorry for any shots I took at you and I believe how many things I said about the moderation team could have fiercely offended you in any shape or form. I instantly regretted taking shots at you as soon as I learnt what a perm ban, which was perfectly justified, meant. You handled the situation perfectly and there was no reason for me to make you an example of bad ban appeal responding. I hope you can accept my sincere apology and can respond to more ban appeals in the future.

To the widespread community of hometown, I am again sorry with how I managed to make an unfunny joke that hurt tens of people in the server. Along with all other points I made in my appeal, I never intended to harm anyone or send inappropriate messages throughout the chatlogs of the server. This is something I regret and was rightfully punished for with a permanent ban. I now understand how it makes people feel extremely insecure and hurt in a server where everyone of all ethnicities should be able to join and play on HometownSMP without fear of intense racial discrimination. I believe to have gained the knowledge of realisation of how what I did was wrong and defies the base principles of HometownSMP.

Conclusion


After spending a productive hour of my time to write and edit my appeal as well as formally and responsibly analysing how my message impacted players on the server, my knowledge has expanded and as well as my pledge to never make a single edgy and unfunny joke so childless and immature ever again. I love how Hometown is the way that it is and it would be devastating not being unbanned. I wish to reconcile with the community and people of a higher rank then me. From the bottom of my genuine heart, I'd like to state on how truly love this server and it's friendly community. I'm insanely sorry for everything I've ever done and I hope you took the time to read my appeal that I plead to get accepted.

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): If u dont want to unban me, that's perfectly fine and reasonable plus I may seem like a crying kid who cant realise they've been banned from their faveroute server. Although i do firmly believe that instead of just not even looking at my appeal and replying with virtually nothing and closing the thread, you should actually read the appeal and comprehend what I'm trying to say. And if u disagree with my reasoning then it must be common sense to reply with a genuine answer - an answer arguing against my appeal and why it is being denied - instead of acting as i never wrote an appeal in the first place. So thank you to the person who actually reads my appeal and replies accordingly instead of just blindly refusing to accept my thread in which is what I assume. 

For starters, I really didn't understand how the bedrock censoring system worked at the time; because of that, I was unable to realise that I've cursed towards half the community until it was too late. Furthermore, I now remain accountable for my actions; now understanding how I offended many players of the community without even realising in which I deeply regret. I now understand the fact on how many players can see what I type and could get put off by what I said.  Just remember the fact that I never meant it in an offensive way and just lacked knowledge and common sense, this is coming from a player who respects all communities, genders and races.

Why do you want to come back: Again, may seem like a crying kid for rewriting an appeal twice as long although I honestly enjoy the server and enjoy talking to friends on discord. The community is also amazing and I am amazed on how a server could unite many people together despite the fact that the average lifespan is around a couple weeks at most. I just want to play on the server again and thank you for taking your time to read my appeal and actually take time to respond instead of copy and pasting a ban message.
