Why should you be unbanned: This is a bit complicated! Long story short, I don't remember griefing or stealing diamond blocks, and I was surprised to realize I was banned when I tried to join using my "xoard" account.

To clarify, I don't wanna say I didn't do it though, because maybe I did, and I just completely forgot about it. It must've been a long time ago, because I also don't know when I was banned. From what I remember, I joined the server, didn't play on it much (I hardly did anything), thought it was neat (from what I explored), kept it in the bottom of my server list, and then left it for a long time until just a few minutes ago when I tried to rejoin out of curiosity. I know that comes off like a dishonest excuse to try to get unbanned, because like, it sounds like I'm not owning up to my own actions, but like, that's... It's just the truth! I don't know how else to put it - it sounds like I'm lying regardless of how I word it. If it helps you believe me, I actually don't mind not getting unbanned. This isn't an attempt to use reverse-psychology. Like I said, I hardly played on this server, so I have no personal attachment to it. Even if I am unbanned, it’s extremely unlikely that I’ll play on it for more than just a few minutes anyway, so my point is that it really doesn't benefit me to be dishonest here. In fact, in the case that I really did deserve this ban, wouldn't it be risky to unban me from your perspective? What if I'm lying about all this? That'd make me a griefer, a diamond block thief, and a liar!

So you might be wondering, why am I writing a ban appeal anyway if I don't want to be unbanned? Well, it's mostly just because I wanna figure out the details - I don't consider myself a griefer or a thief, so it's uncharacteristic of me to be banned from a server like this, and that's interesting to me. Did I really grief someone's build and/or steal diamond blocks from them? From who? Where was my last log-out location? Was it at the place I supposedly griefed and/or stole from? So many questions! I just want them answered.

Why do you want to come back: Like I said, my goal isn't really to get unbanned. In fact, I've already done another thing I assume is ban-worthy; ban-evading (along with my banned "xoard" account, I have other accounts including "qoard" and "poard"). Neither qoard nor poard are banned from the server, and a few minutes ago, I logged on using those accounts to confirm that I've been on here before. Actually, this leads me to my theory as to why I got banned. For context, xoard is my oldest account (from 2012), but I think my memories of being on this server are from when I briefly played using poard (maybe about a year ago). I asked around, and a few people told me this server is over decade old, I think? So, it's possible that the reason why I don't remember griefing or stealing is because I did in fact do those things, but that it was so long ago that I just completely forgot about it, and I just happened to come across the same server by coincidence years later. But that mostly relies on the date I was banned, which isn't something I know. Anyway, sorry for the unorthodox ban appeal (not really an appeal). I'm unfamiliar with these forums, and this seemed like the best place to put this.

TL;DR: I'm not necessarily asking to be unbanned. I'm mostly just curious about the exact details of my ban (especially the date it occurred), because I don't remember griefing and/or stealing like it says I did, and I suspect that it's because I was banned a long time ago. I'm hoping y'all could share any information you have if that's possible! If not, that's fine, and I apologize if this is a waste of time, especially since it's not really a ban appeal.

Hello, I’m appealing a ban from a long time ago. It has been around two years since I last played on Hometown, and I don’t fully remember the exact reason I was banned. I was younger at the time, and I probably didn’t take the rules as seriously as I should have.
I’m asking for a fresh start. I understand the rules better now, and I want to return and play normally with the community. I won’t repeat any past mistakes.

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I really love playing on this server with my son and I am genuinely confused about this ban. I have been hyper aware of my actions ever since my ban appeal for X-ray. I have been asking staff for clarification on almost everything I do. I spent a majority of my time back on the servr building a community trial chamber enterance in the community mine. I used my balance to buy materials to create this build and continued expanding the community mine tunnel. I haven’t done any exploring outside of the res world and res end I only recall taking items from designated “free/ server resource areas that I was directed to by staff or community. The only thing I can possibly think that I could be at fault for is taking 2 stacks of food out of the warp food (one for me and one for my son) which I didn’t think was an issue. I really am sorry that I don’t know what it is that was taken, it must of been something I wasn’t aware was private items or something I had no intention of causing issues by touching. Whatever the items are I would be more than happy to return them as it was never my intention to take someone else’s stuff. I hope with all my heart that this is something that I can clear up as I have been trying so hard to be totally within the rules of the server. 

Why do you want to come back: I said it before so I don’t want to sound like I’m saying the same thing as before but I genuinely enjoy this server. I’ve been making relationships with lots of players on the server and have been asking for input on every move I make and have been getting tons of positive feedback. I’ve also been getting my build materials from shops around the server or straight from other player. I know that I am under a microscope after my poor decisions from the last appeal, I’m still sorry for that and was trying to make things up to the community which is why this second ban is quite confusing. I feel terrible that I’ve been banned a second time and I hope I won’t have to explain to my son again that I can’t play on the server we have a great time on. I really can’t convey how careful I’ve been trying to be. I will say I’m sorry for anything that may have caused this ban even without knowing what exactly it is that I may have removed from someone else. I will await a reply from staff so I can be clear on what it is that I took and where so I can apologize properly and hopefully make things right. I’m sure it’s going to be seen as a back to back ban making it hard to grant me another chance but I hope you can see that I wouldn’t of intentionally stolen any other players stuff and I’m willing to follow any directions given to me to fix things. -Zim

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I take full responsibility for my stupid decision making, I should never have used X-ray on a server that I was enjoying playing on but here we are. I don’t have a good reason for why I did, I think I got caught up in trying to gather enough resources for both me and my son while he was offline. It was a horrible choice on my part I should have just been patient and gathered resources the proper way. I really enjoy playing on the server it’s an amazingly welcoming and friendly community and I hope my time playing hasn’t come to an end. Having to hear my son react to seeing that I had been banned and finding out we wouldn’t be able to continue building our base together was a serious eye opener. If I’m allowed a second chance I will not make the same mistake again, I will be the member of the server that I should’ve been from the start.

Why do you want to come back:I want to come back because I really felt as though this was a server I could see me and my son playing on long term. The community is amazing, the staff have been overwhelmingly helpful and attentive. I could name a bunch more points that I really enjoyed about the server. I apologize completely and will take ownership for whatever decision is made about this appeal, but it was never my intention to mess up the economy or ruin the experience for other players. I was being selfish and did something in the heat of the moment that I know as an adult I shouldn’t have done.I hope that I can continue my time on Hometown and I am so very sorry to all members of the community for my failure to adhere to the rules of the server thank you in advance for reviewing my appeal.-Zim

I sincerely apologize for using Xray, as I now understand it gave me an unfair advantage and went against the server rules. It was a poor decision, and I take full responsibility for it. I truly regret my actions and the impact it may have had on the server’s fairness. If given another chance, I promise to play honestly, follow all the rules, and never use any unfair advantages again. I have learned from this mistake and just want an opportunity to prove that I can be a fair player.

Why do you want to come back:
This server means a lot to me because I genuinely enjoyed playing here and being part of the community. I had a good time building, exploring, and interacting with other players. I miss that experience and would really like to come back and continue playing properly this time, respecting all the rules and keeping the game fair for everyone.

Hello, 5 months later upon my initial ban, I apologise for my offensive creations and offensive words against different types of people. I love this server so much, I am sorry for my past I want to show I'm a better person.

I wrongly insulted a group of people and built offensive symbolism. I will no longer do such actions! I will no longer discuss politics or anything divisive! 

 I'm still young and developing my brain, please forgive me. I know what I did was offensive and wrong and for my first ban it was definitely a lot. However please provide me a second chance, I am willing to do community service and be muted forever thank you for the opportunity.

I tried to be edgy at times like building the swastika but it only brought disruption and ruined the community that thrived on stress free, politic free community. 

I truly wish to become a better player and individual. my rudeness to certain groups will not be propagated again and I realise this doesn't solve hate but creates more hate. I seek a second chance. I believe we all deserve a second chance. I love this server so much, I want to play and build with my friends. I don't want to indulge in politics anymore I just want to play minecraft with the best server I've ever seen. I love the players, staff and world of Hometown!

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): i did a mistake i know and i did confess it myself and didn't hide it, i destroyed someone's home because i thought the guy isn't joining back and i only removed the dirt part of his house wich nothing changes about my mistake i know and i was thinking to deal with him if he join back to the server but yeah a diamond house or a dirt house i still removed someone's house without there permission i do admit i made a mistake and broke the rule but i hope you guys point that out that i confessed my mistake without anyone tells me and i did that because I realized that i cannot just remove someone's house because they not joining back and how would i feel if someone did that to me while i wasn't active thanks for understanding me.
