Why should you be unbanned: I am not positive but the only reason I can think I was banned was because I accidentally broke one of the slabs in the shop area, letting an NPC Villager escape, but I did my best to push him back into the space and then place the slab back. 

Why do you want to come back: This is one of the only servers (and game in general) that I am able to play and have fun with two of my close online friends. We go on this server when the other game's servers are in maintenance, which happens fairly frequently.

Reason for your ban: breaking multiple player shop rules and using slurs in chat 

Who banned you: AmbularD

Why should you be unbanned: I think I should be unbanned because I was unaware of the shop rules where you couldn't buy from one shop and resell to another. If I had known this, I would have acted upon the situation differently. I thought it was right to take advantage of two shops which had very distant price points for the same ore, that being the emerald. I now understand that such exploitation is not acceptable on HT and that it is immoral. For the slurs in chat, I recall only typing "GAY" once, and while I hate to say it, is not a registered slur and was not directly at anyone. I will now keep the chat clean if I was to make a return to HT.  

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because It's the only reason I still play Minecraft to begin with because it's such a good time to play on the server. I was excited for the 1.13 update and all that comes along with that. If I return to HT I promise to not recommit my crimes and to look into things before I do them incase they're against the rules.

Why do you want to come back: I missed the friendly people I met on this server.

I woke up this morning and tried to log in to the server.
but it says I banned by Derpedos for grief / animal grief.
Actually, I don't know what does "Grief" mean. (sorry, my English is not perfect.)
Does it mean stealing and breaking?
I have never killed someone's animal. and I even planted crops that someone didn't plant again

but yesterday, I broke a hopper by accident in the Blaze Prism.
When I accidentally broke it, I alerted people on the server and asked for help.
However, a man who looks like an admin said "just place the hopper back".
I couldn't do what he said. because it sucked into the other hopper. and I couldn't open it.
so I asked him for help because I didn't want to be banned. but he ignored me.. (i thinks it's because my English is too bad to explain the situation to him.)

so I made a hopper in my house then I went to the Blaze Prism to place a hopper, but I couldn't. because the system not allowed me to place a hopper.

I hope I can build a building with the friendly people I met on the server again, playing jukeboxes in my house and eating food soon. I'm gonna miss you guys, BalloonHead124, FlyingSlugs and KingsVesus..

Why should you be unbanned: I definitely deserve this punishment, I did use and X-Ray texture pack. I was frustrated because my group had found a skeleton spawner and when we were working on setting up a structure around it, we accidentally mined out the spawner. We/I had been looking for another for awhile and I was getting fed up as losing the first one immensely frustrated me, though that certainly isn't an excuse, just reasoning. I turned on the resource pack, and one thing led to another. I apologize for this, greatly. I was frustrated about the spawner and against my better judgement, downloaded the resource pack, and used it. I regret this decision greatly, and now in a calmer headspace realize how stupid it was. I apologize, sincerely, and will not allow feelings over something so silly to cloud my judgment again; I will not break the rules again. 

Why do you want to come back: I have enjoyed playing daily on the server for the last month or so; I have a large group of friends who have been playing with me and I certainly don't want to lose out on that. I also just really enjoy the server itself, and appreciate how it operates as well as the other players on it. I completely understand why I was banned, and have no resentment towards any staff or anyone for that matter, even if my ban stays permanent. That being said, I'd definitely like to return to the server if possible, as I hope to continue to enjoy the fun environment it provides. Thank you.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because HomeTown is such a good community and it is a great place to be with all the activity and great people to play MC with.

Why should you be unbanned: Hello everyone. It has now been around 4 or 5 months since I was banned from this server. I understand completely why I was banned and why what I did was absolutely terrible and against the rules. In a sense, I can’t justify my actions, because I was completely in the wrong for what I did and 100% respect the decision to ban me. However, I can tell you why I believe that I should be unbanned, not by saying that what I did wasn’t all bad, but by saying how I will be in the future. Firstly, after being banned, I chose to think very long and hard about whether I even deserve to be unbanned and whether I was ready or not. Now, months later, after much thought and debate, I have decided that I do really want to come back (I expand upon this in the next section) and that I should (should is a strong word, at the end of the day, I realize that it is completely up to the staff) be unbanned. I first analyzed the root cause of me getting banned, what truly caused me to steal from other players. It was greed, stemming from obsession. By the time I was banned, I had become completely addicted to hometown and thus wanted to do the best that I could on the server. At that time, I had interpreted that goal (to do the best I could) as to do the best I could for myself. As in, make the most money, have the most stuff, etc. My addiction and dedication to that goal became so greedy that I overlooked legal and just means of meeting this goal, which in itself was selfish and overall irrelevant. My solution to this goal, breaking the server rules and stealing, was a heat of the moment decision, that was the manifestation of my greed, addiction, and bad judgement. It was a terrible “solution” and I completely regret it. It was totally unfair of me to do, and downright malicious. Another “reason” that I realized I may have had for doing this was that subconscious part of me that realized that I was spending too much time on the server and gave me that “Take risks, if you’re caught, at least you get a break” mentality. Obviously, my mind was not in the right place, as I assume happens after spending over 6 hours a day playing minecraft. However, now that in these past months I have been able to assess my situation, realizing where and how I went wrong, I have come up with some solutions that will prevent me from ANY illegal server activity in the future. With these actions taken, I can firmly promise that I will not encounter the preconditions that lead to my bad actions in the future. To cause this, one thing I have settled on, is a new goal. I realize that I may have been on the right track with my first goal, but only to a point. It is good to do well on the server, but one doesn’t need everything. It gets to a point (that I believe I had reached months before I got banned) where one has so much that it would be better for them to do the best they can for others. It is useless to keep contributing to a cause that is already fully supported, when there are plenty others that need a helping hand themself. I know this all sounds cliche, but it truly works. Helping oneself past this point of achievement leads to a petty, greedy luxuriousness that leads to illegal or immoral activity, sort of that “the rich are above the law/ the rich get richer” mindset, that I realize is completely nonsense. With a goal to help others that truly need it, rather than myself who doesn’t, I will still have a reason to play, but without the dangers that greed brings. I have already been fairly generous with my possessions and money on the server, donating as much as $5000 to new, hard working players and friends that deserve and want it. I pledge to be even more generous and helpful in the future, focussing on the success of those that truly need it. I want to be a helping hand, and I really want this chance to turn this whole mess around. Additionally, I pledge to spend less time on hometown, so as to prevent this sort of insanity I was experiencing. I would also like to clarify, these “reasons” that I gave for misbehaving are not attempts to justify my wrongful actions. As justification, I promise to always follow server rules and be as helpful and friendly as I can to others on the server. I promise, especially after being banned and realizing that there are always consequences for bad actions, to do better in the future, and not waste my potential to contribute to the greatness of this server, by helping others and giving back to the server more than I selfishly took away from it.


Why do you want to come back: Where to even begin… there are so many reasons why I wish to come back to hometown, many of which are cliche and perhaps selfish. Firstly however, I want to come back to prove to not only the server, but mainly to myself that I can contribute and cooperate with others in a friendly (and legal) way. Hometown has been my favorite minecraft server as soon as I found it 4 or 5 years ago. I have been so devoted to it over the years, and having some time away from it to truly think about my mistakes has been truly helpful to me as a person, I now realize how much I truly miss it and love it. I have made so many friends, and so many builds and learned so many things that I just hate being away from. I bought VIP3 to support the server, because I truly recognize all the effort that the staff and others put into this server to make it into this friendly, perfect atmosphere that I love. I even recognize the effort that the staff puts in to get rid of greedy outlaws like me, and I really hope and have made plans to act out of compassion for others rather than greed for myself, because I truly would love this server to succeed and to be a part of that success. Whether I get let back in or not, though I truly wish that I am given another opportunity to prove myself, I would like to say thank you to the staff, the players, and most certainly all the friends I made, and every aspect of the server that I truly miss. I would love to help the people who are passionate about the server just like I am, and to steer them away from bad judgement like that I have made in the past. I recognize that I made a monumental mistake, and that my “solution” can come off as just seeking sympathy or just being conceptual and unrealistic, but I truly just seek another chance to give back to this wonderful server and I wholeheartedly promise to NEVER go against the rules that keep the server intact and successful, and to help others and the server as best I can.

Why should you be unbanned: I let my nephew play on my account and didn't realize he was going around stealing stuff or breaking stuff until I tried to get on and saw that I was banned. I am very sorry about that and will make sure no one else uses my account unless I am right next to them. If I need to fix anything for bring back anything, I can do that. 

Why do you want to come back: I really love this server and it has been the only one I have found that isn't difficult to understand the controls or commands. Again, I am sorry for that and will fix anything if needed.

 Hello. I'm here to apologize for all of what I have done on this server. I showed my ass, being rude and toxic to others. It's important to understand my intents and reasoning. I'm here to be straight forward and sincere, and I am not going to speak to anybody who attempts to start drama after reading. 

It is true that I was rude to several people and staff members. Among these problems that I concocted are challenging staff to ban or mute me, attacking anybody that I didn't agree with, and offending several people in the process. I regret telling you, Uber, that I wasn't scared of being banned or muted. Because in truth, I am. I'm just a dumb teenage girl who doesn't know when to stop and shut my mouth. So I ask you to not think of me as a horrible person. It's a big thing to ask of you but I know that with time you may be able to forgive and forget. 

I apologize to anyone that I didn't agree with. I attacked you when you said something I didn't like. Although we all have the right to have opinions, I did not have to express mine. I'm sorry for being a toxic, rude person. It gives me a bad image, but I am changing. While this metamorphosis is still in progress I ask anyone to please excuse me if I lash out. You have every right to ban or mute me again and I will respect you, because I earned it.

I apologize to all of the people of Hometown. I came on your server one day with a bad taste in my mouth and decided to share that with you. You did not deserve that. I am sorry for being the person I am. Deep down I will always be that toxic, salty, rude person. But, I won't show it on Hometown any more no matter if I have to leave or turn off my chat or take a break from the server. 

My intent on this server was to make friends and have a good time. I didn't live up to your expectations, and I respect and acknowledge if you do not forgive me. I will not hold a grudge on you and we will simply part ways.

Why should you be unbanned: I should be unbanned because I'm an honest person. I'll admit it, I totally X-Rayed, however under no circumstances do I plan on making the same mistake twice. To be quite honest, I didn't take the server too seriously during my time playing, I wasn't too concerned about being banned. It was only later that I realized how much I took this server for granted. Ever since, I've been looking for a similar server to play on, however I've had no luck finding one which can replicate your unique atmosphere and basic, old-school game mechanics. I can give you my word that I will never X-Ray on this hard-to-come-by server ever again, and that's the truth.

Why do you want to come back: As stated above, I totally took this server for granted. I'm simply unable to find anything like it and would love a second chance! My sister is also anxious to get back on the server. She took the fall with me as I was IP banned.
