Why should you be unbanned: My roommates thought it would be a funny joke to get on and "help me out" with my game play on the server while I was at dinner. I wouldn't ever use x-ray on a minecraft server, as if I would, I would have done it when I first joined the server. I don't know the amount of stuff they mined, but I have no issue with giving it up, and I already talked to them about not doing it again. 

Why do you want to come back: I brought a lot of my friends on to the server to play with, and we have worked really hard on establishing a base and getting set up. I'm enjoying the community on the server and would love to continue being a part of it. Also, MNMONE and Lizbakescookies are my younger siblings and I do apologize for their behavior.

Reason for your ban: x-ray mining

Why should you be unbanned: I was new to the server and have recently been playing on servers where x-ray mining is permitted. I am sorry and I should have known better than to use x-ray mods on the server. I have no issue with giving up all ores mined with x-ray. It won't happen again. 

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because the server community is very good and I wish to continue developing my base with my friends. 

Hoi everyone :3 Today marks my second year on hometown. I joined on 4/14/16.
I can hardly begin to explain how much this community matters to me and how much fun I've had here the past  two years. But just know its a lot! This community has been one of the most important parts of my life and for me I'd not want to spend my time in any other way. Out of all the servers I had joined before that day in April 2016, none of them had a community as friendly and welcoming as hometown. Since then I've been here almost every single day and I plan on keeping it that way for as long as I possibly can. So to all of you had been, have been, and are now a part of this community I thank for for bringing my life the brightest light it's ever had. :3 

FudgeTardd here, or I go by my in-game name Doremi. A few days ago, I made a mistake with one of my shop chest that caused me to lose all my $64,000. This hurts me because I rely on my money to continue building things. The person who drained me out left me with like $0.05 left on my account. It was my mistake I'm not blaming others. Because of this incident, I lost great motivation to play the game, without my money to rely on, materials will be a lot harder to come by, yeah I could farm them but I am a builder, not a farmer. I earned hard to gain that amount just to be wiped out in probably less an a minute. 

So I came on today, not really wanting to do anything, I'll just vote and put my slot tokens up for sale so I can earn a little back. I told the server that my shop will be half operational due to a lack of money. A few players asked what happen and I explained my situation. Most don't care, some like Fel and Tux really tried to help. I kindly rejected their donations, i returned the money Fel gave me and told Tux I did not want his free stuff. With that being said, Tux constantly kept harassing me, sending me tp and whispering me constantly "accept my tp dammit", it was getting annoying. Yeah, I know he is trying to help, but if i said "No", "I don't want it." many many times, it means I don't want it. I even told him I will quit the server if he kept harassing me. Even with that said, I don't know how but he manage to teleport to my alt character (second character) on the server, in a location I don't want anyone to be at. If I don't accept teleport, it means I dont want you there. But somehow, he manage to get to my alt location and was dropping me materials. So now, he's harassing, spamming, trespassing. As soon as he was dropping materials on my alt, I just said I'm quitting the server. I said I don't want it, I denied his tp, I asked him to stop but he persist. Yeah I am overreacting, I came on Minecraft to relieve stress, I work two jobs almost every single day, while going to university also. I just want some time to relax and do what I love. Not to deal with more bullshit like this. So because of this, I am officially quitting the server. 

I spent a great amount of time on this server. I've been around since the old server, I remember having a spot in the server market where we had to apply for a space in there. I love the people, environment, everything. The admins are great always helping with the griefs on my builds. I never caused any problems for the admins, don't even think I've been kicked once in the last 5+ years I've been around. I made some great friends on this server that I won't forget. Thank you all the people who seen my builds and complimented on them, it made me really happy. I know a lot of people also don't like me but its fine, I tried my best to communicate with others but I guess I was just still too nervous to throw myself out there. That's why 80% of my builds are in the middle of the ocean, to get away from people. Anyways, time to move on. I'll still be on the Discord group if you know who I am, I never talk there but I read the chats, you guys are fun people to hang out with. Best wishes to all. Doremi.

P.S. The Admin or Mod or whoever that TP Tux to my location, shame on you. It's the only reason I can think of him finding my location.

P.S.S I don't know if any admins can do this but I would like to give ownership to all my stuff to Fel (Feladina). She has permission to do whatever with all my builds and items. She is the best, and I will always love her. <3 If not possible then nevermind, just delete them all. I don't like seeing my builds get griefed to hell.

Why should you be unbanned: Because I was new and I forgotten the rule about not theft, since I played many other games like this on different servers and those were that if you leave something unprotected, it is free to take.

Why do you want to come back: Because this is a pretty fun server tbh and the treehouse I was building was coming along pretty nicely. 

i got really mad and wrote this really mean post because i got banned for being a smart ass in chat. i was bragging about how i am too smart to follow rules because my superior intellect allows me to find loopholes in those rules which i am above because i religiously watch ted talk videos @ 1.5x speed

Why should you be unbanned: I was new to the server and was just excited to build a base and get set up to play with my friends. I do understand that this was wrong and went against the rules and I am sorry that i was brought to do this. I do want to keep playing in your community and if I need to do something to prove this then I will. If you do un-ban me, feel free to make sure I am not continuing to x-ray, and also take away the materials which I have mined. Again I am sorry for breaking the rules, thank you. 

Why do you want to come back: Your server runs great and I enjoy the mechanics which you have in place. My friends started to play on this server which is what brought me here in the first place, and I was excited to play with them, so I wanted to get materials quickly to catch up to where they were. I do understand what I have done, but I hope I am able to come back so I can continue to enjoy your server. Thank you. 


(Questions which I noticed the other X-ray cheaters needed to answer below)

1. Why is xraying bad?
X-raying is first bad because it of course goes against the server rules. It removes the skill of the game and makes the game easier, making the player able to do more in a shorter time. By using x-rays, people are able to acquire more materials then one would normally be able to. It is unnecessary to utilize the cheats and it does ruin the game overall. 


2. How does xraying negatively affect other players?
It is unfair to other players because it lets you gain more than the average player would. The materials collected could also be used to trade with others players, allowing you to basically get rare materials for no real work. If players are close by, then you would also be stealing materials that they could have possibly found. It can also let you see the location of other players bases, which could possible interfere with their game play experience. 


3. How does xraying affect the servers economy?
First of all, as previously stated it could be used to falsely trade other players for items. It makes some players have more resources than others which is unfair to the server. Of course, players will feel as if they have been cheated because someone else was able to get rare gear in a false manner. Overall, the x-raying makes the economy fail and makes the game play unbalanced. 

4. What have you learnt from this ban?
I have of course realized not to do this again in the future. I won't try to go against the rules anymore, and have seen why my actions were bad. I regret having done it from the start and would be glad if I was accepted back into your community. I can see why what I have done was wrong, and offer my apologizes to the staff for breaking the rules.

Why should you be unbanned: I was thoroughly enjoying the server and building an island base with my two friends. I'm willing to admit I used an X-ray texture pack, I wont deny that. The thrill of finding my first couple of diamonds got to my head and I made the idiotic choice to install the pack to find a few more. I fully understand it was in violation of the rules and I am willing to give back whatever the moderators deem fair. Obviously I'll delete the pack and wont use it ever again on your, or on any other servers.

Why do you want to come back: Its been years since I've last played Minecraft and me and my friends recently decided to pick it back up again. We chose smp.hometownmc.com for our new survival campaign and over the last few days we've been enjoying building up our base and playing together. I want to come back to simply have fun with me and my friends, building, mining, farming ect. I'll admit that I cheated, and I regret it because I value having a good time with my friends more than some stupid ores in video game. I feel I should get a second chance, and you can ban me for life if I'm ever caught cheating again.
