Server you were banned on (SMP/Discord): smp.hometownmc.com
Minecraft name: Komodoku (Used to be joe_komodo)
Reason for your ban: Using X-ray
Who banned you: Grimm_Wolfe (About 2 years ago)
Why should you be unbanned: I fully admit to using X-ray and regret doing so, as this server was pretty much the only one I really played and enjoyed, I basically stopped playing Minecraft shortly after I was banned. I fully understand that not many X-ray appeals get accepted but now that a few years have passed and I want to get back into Minecraft I'm hoping I can start anew on my favourite server. I will gladly have all of my items, buildings, VIP and trusted rank(Or whatever rank it is now) wiped and set back to the beginning, I am truly sorry and I promise to never use X-ray again.
Why do you want to come back: I miss the friendly community Hometown offered when I used to play, after getting banned I searched for a replacement but couldn't find a server quite like Hometown, afterall most of my old time on Hometown was chatting to people rather than actually playing! I want to see if any of the old players are still around and see the new changes that have been made to the server and the community, I also want to once more take part in the discussions and games that are on the forums without feeling guilty! It will be really nostalgic if I get unbanned and hope you consider my appeal!

Divergent_ Using X-RAY Client

KittyWilson and I, xXDanGamerXx are witnesses of Divergent_ claiming about making 30K in a day through mining and selling diamonds, That would require 10 full stacks of diamonds, To me, that seems unnatural and possibly hacked.
Even with Fortune 3, That would require finding at least over 3 stacks of diamond ores, which seems quite fishy and not very legit.
KittyWilson and I asked if we could come mining with him to see if he found so many diamonds when we were with him, and he refused. That made us both slightly more suspicious of him using X-Ray. Then we asked him what his tactics were ad what his strategies to finding diamonds was, again he refused. His answer was "Not many people know this method, so you can't see". Of course, this made me wonder if his strategy was x-rating. He seemed to find it normal to have found 10 stacks of diamonds in 1 day. When we kept on trying to ask him what his method of mining was he would come up with a reply like "dude I don't use x-ray". Him not telling us how he finds so many diamonds, claiming to find 10 stacks of diamonds AND refusing to let us go mining with him made us really suspicious. He also said if we went mining with him it would "expose his way of mining", that in its self sounds kind of sketchy.
He might just be the world's luckiest miner, but him being the second richest on the server, claiming to of made 30K in a day, claiming to of mined 10 stacks of diamonds, him not telling us how he mined and him not letting us in his mine together just makes him look as if he was using some sort of x-ray client. He says that several admins have been in his mine and said that he is legit but we could not tell if he was lying.
I have screenshotted most of the conversation we had as evidence if need be, it would be good if some admins could look into it to see if he was telling the truth or lying. Thankyou for reading this

Mob Cap/Spawn Rate

Yes, I guess I'm the only one caring about this issue, but the server always has some mob cap/spawn rate problems.
What I imagine is that the spawn rate gets divided between each player, so mobs spawn 1/x as often if there are x players online.
Furthermore, the mob cap is a problem too. Suppose A and B are online, and those two together has a mob cap of 100. If B is afk, then whenever A kills off mobs, some portion will spawn in B's area, and stay loaded forever or until they despawn, which takes a long time. The result is incredibly low spawn rate for A, having to wait for mobs to despawn from around afking players which reduces mob count below the cap. To support my claim, I observed that my witch farm spawns 4 witches soon after sunrise, when skeletons, zombies are burned to death and the mob cap is temporarily not reached. Then afterwards, no spawns occurred until the next sunrise.
Another case: guardian farms gets 0 spawns at off peak times (late at night for most people) when people are obviously sleep-afking. To support my case - that the afking players are to blame, the 0-spawn guardian farms (which is every guardian farm) come back to life immediately after a server restart (which kicked all the afkers).
Also, as side note, I strongly believe lower render distances has lower mob caps.
I've been trying to farm naturally spawned hostile mobs without much success. Some bad days I get 0 spawns. Is there a way to set up a system that multiplies the mob cap or spawn rate by cx (c=<1) for x players online?

Minecraft launcher issues?

i've had this twice now. i click on minecraft and instead of the launcher opening like normal, it does some shenanigans downloading the native launcher and then when it completes it gives an error saying it couldn't move a file (can't remember the exact error). I have found a fix for this: running the launcher as admin, however it troubles me. Has anyone else seen this?

Considering building a large shop (feedback/questions)

A user and I were discussing about shops the other day, and the most popular ones, and it got me thinking that I wanted to make a large shop for my next build (a shop where one could purchase everything you can think of - not just the most common blocks or items. That means a big gardening section with every type of flower, all the grass and leaf types, vines, etc. - a thorough selection, you get the idea, and this idea would expand to each and every item type). Building wouldn't be such a problem, I have the time, resources, and spot, and I'd build simply so as to keep lag to a minimum, which would be necessary for such a large store. But I have a few concerns about certain items and stocking the store.
Problem 1 is that I've noticed other users, even with popular stores, have trouble stocking a few certain items, such as quartz blocks and glowstone. I can't fly, and I only have 2 homes, which means that I essentially cannot effectively use the res world, as I can't set homes there (need them for in progress builds) and I can't move around effectively to find the biomes I need. It would take me a long time to reach an unraided part of the Nether. I never realized until recently just how game-changing it is, economy and resource-gathering wise, to be able to fly. I can't do it, so I don't think there's any way I could stock blocks like this.
Problem 2 would be the fact that I am unwilling to buy certain items, based on trends I've noticed. One example is diamonds - I have never once bought a diamond from any player's store, and I can't see why anyone would do so. Just making one pickaxe would add up to 150 dollars because of the server shop's set price, and I've made the cost assessment - buying diamonds from any player store would be a massive waste of money because of the ease of going and finding even just one yourself. For those of you who have shops, do your diamonds even sell? I can't really understand how they would. There are other such items, too, namely anything in the server shop that can be sold - especially redstone blocks, iron blocks, gold blocks, etc.
One proposed solution I have to both of these problems is that I build the store, stocking the items like flowers, rails, dyes, etc. (the items I could gather or craft myself) in my own sell chests and let somebody else place signs on and sell in the nether quartz, glowstone, etc. chests. Another option is, I could build the store and then sell it to somebody.
