I've been working on several projects since I first joined the server, and now two of these projects are completed. Here are the screenshots of them, with some description. (There are a LOT of screenshots, so a long post) Please let me know what you think of these builds!

Crumbling Bridge
I've made several attempts at making a bridge across the river, in variety of styles, but I wasn't happy with any of them. Eventually I settled on an "abandoned" build style, because that's what I do best.

Dragon Cave
Clearing out this huge cave in the side of the mountain was 80% of the build process, and took several days to complete. Arm yourself well if you are going to visit this in person, because the cave WILL be infected with monsters.

The sleeping dragon. Normally, there are no torches because the cave is supposed to be shrouded in darkness to give the eerie feeling, but I placed down torches so you can better see what the dragon looks like.



Here's full view of the sleeping dragon, in broad daylight. It was built on a creative world, and replicated on the server.

Nuked and I opened a new "supershop", if you may, and we hope to see you there to check it out!

  it's /warp Emporium, and it's a shop with a simple layout that's easy to follow, organized, and somewhat pleasing to the eye. With a warp room leading straight to the main hallway, it is not hard to get lost in this shop, at least until you get to the main hallway. At over 7 chunks long, this hallway contains the bulk of items sold at Emporium, and we have a vast variety of items for you to choose from, from blocks to misc. items, we have it here. We hope to open this shop so newer, and even more experienced, players can warp over to grab the materials they need.

Hiya, my real name is Josh. I'm 27, from Michigan, and have been playing minecraft since it's start. I was a Beta player, whom has played minecraft at every possible stage. I once ran a server with a friend, who also plays here. I'm a IT specialist. I'm a graphic artist, working on Hollywood films, Web designer, cyber security specialist, focusing on linux and microsoft. Pretty much, if it's on a computer, I've mastered the skill. I'm pretty quiet for the most part, but would glady meet some new people to talk with. I'm pretty shy, but only initially. I'm a gamer, having 14 tattoos, most gaming based. Skyrim, mass effect, pokemon, are just some for example. I play magic the gathering, and love older games on the ps2. I'm a pro cannabis advocate, Ive helped get signatures and spread information in michigan. I love indie music, and any book that falls into the sci-fi or fantasy category. I'm even in the process of writing my own.

Why should you be unbanned: I think I should be unbanned for the reason because Barry and I bought passed to /warp swissflags. I got a 100$ One time pass, meanwhile Barry got a lifetimime pass for 500$, after buying the passes, we were there for about 5-10 mins and we were like it boring because all the rollercoasters were the same, half the park wasnt open, no minecarts for sale for the rollercoasters, and the waterpark want open. Me and barry wanted a refund so we asked Sir if we can have a refund, Now there was a rule board which we read and there was nothing that said anything about refunds. After was asked he said why and i said its boring, And he refused to give a refund because my details of what i told him weren't enough. Kat said stop and i stopped but I wanted my refund and I asked one more time and he never gave me a refund. So i was like ok Im going to get out of this and i saw barry got banned for still saying things to kat and grimm for not following commands, I just told kat " It's barry's defence star"
and i got banned. I made and appeal yesterday, grimm replied, and a little while ago saiyaka told me to make another ban-appeal.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back to finish all my builds I was planning on doing. Barry, chennzy01 and myself just came back onto the server after a 2 year break from it and wanted to make a good impression on this server. This is the most fun server ive ever been on, when im not on I get bored and its my break for the real world and school. When this was going down, i had a weird felling in my gut about what was going on but i just wanted my money back. Hometown is a great server that has lots to offer for people with there great staff and all the members. almost everyone gets along great on the server and I want to continue.  I got banned for myself opening my mouth after several warnings which i failed to do. I am sorry, I can say that enough.  I , Aquaturtle210 am sorry Kat, Grimm, Sir, Swiss, and star for disrespecting and not following commands to you guys. I should have thought about it first before i opened my mouth.    -Aqua

Just a quick piece of advice. I received a plot at /warp victoria and a opened a shop "7/11." 

I sold it to someone I don't remember who, but I sold it for $600 and they gave it to a new player. According to Kea_Patra, I owe him a refund because "reselling shops is not allowed."

I owe nothing because the rules at /warp victoria do not state that the reselling of shops is prohibited.

Hi,

So I am aware of a beacon where when I am next to it I have a haste buff, but I was told it had speed also, the speed buff doesn't show though. 

It must be there because the speed of mining is mega fast.

I copied the beacon with my own x4 layer deep iron blocks with my own beacon on my land, but it either gives me haste or speed.

What is going on someone please explain?

Hey all! So at first I was being inactive because I got a timecard for WoW and I've been playing the shit out of that instead; this is still true for the most part but now I'm also having technical issues that are making it impossible for me to access the server (or any server, for that matter...)

Every time I try to access a server, I get the error message "java.lang.NullPointerException". I've looked this up a lot and I just... can't wrap my head around what's wrong. I tried the most simple fix attempts first-- redownloading MC, completely updating Java, restarting my computer multiple times. Other than that, I really don't know what to do. I'm terrible with technical issues, and I'm really worried that if I try to edit a java code or something somewhere I'll fuck up and make a worse issue to deal with @ _ @

If anyone's good with this sort of thing-- or knows of a page with very specific details that could potentially help me with this, I'd really appreciate a point in the right direction!

(Also put this under general since it's technically not a server problem, just on my end lol)

Why should you be unbanned: Today i would like to make and appeal of what happend at Sir and Swiss's Amusement park today. First off me and barry paid to get in the park. i got one-time acess for 100$, barry got lifetime acess for 500$. After being in the park for about 5-10 mins we were like this is boring and we want a refund. Now at the rules board in the park, there wasn't a rule about have refunds. And we asked Sir, can we have a refund, he said why, I told him because it was kind of boring and the waterpark was closed and, the rides were the same, there were no minecarts for sale and the bumper cars were not working. after we told him he said no and we asked why, and he said i wasn't giving enough valid detail. So i told Kat and she said, Stop we dropped it, but Barry and I wanted a refund so we were kinda mad that we couldn't get a refund. after that barry got banned and i asked why barry get ban and kat said  for breaking rule #2.I said o ok, we just wanted a refund but ok thats fine, I go away and a min later im banned. Hopefully you reconsider the ban because all we wanted was a refund for coming to a boring amusement park. Anyone would be mad for going to a boring amusement park in real life, and they paid money to go.


Why do you want to come back: Me, chennzy01 and barry were off for almost 2yrs and just came on to have fun and do what we always did 2 yrs ago. We wanted to make a impression on the server but stupid stuff happens that barry and I get into. The 3 of Us know most the people on the server pretty well and wanted to come to that old homey feel for the server since we know all the staff and a lot of the people. Me and Barry are Truly sorry for our annoying behavior and hope you can reconsider the ban. Thank You   -Aqua

Why should you be unbanned: I had purchased a lifetime access pass to ./warp swissflags because
people say its good and has bumper cars. I went there and saw that all the rides were the same, it was
small and bumper cars was never open when ever I went. I asked Sir for a refund because when we had
purchased access the rules didn't say no refund. He said you can't have a refund if you have no reason,
I told him I would sue him(because i was sued once so i figured i could sue him) and then the admins
got involved and said stop so we stopped but sir asked why do you want a refund to us and the last
thing I said before getting banned was "I want a refund because all the rides are the same, and bumper
cars is never open." I understand why we were banned but I think it was too harsh,
in ones eye's being "Annoying" is different than someone else's view of it. We are sorry for what we
did for not listening to staff and being annoying to Sir even though he repedetly said no refunds, and
didn't listen/understand. I do think being IP banned for rule 2 is harsh because some xrayers dont even
get that punishment. I understand that 500 dollars wasn't worth getting banned and I'm sorry for
disobeying grimm/kat's orders. We should of just dropped it because it was such a petty thing to argue
over.

Why do you want to come back: Me and aqua and chennzy01 have been apart of this server for
almost 2 years now and we just came back and there is still all the same nice people who we remember
from a year ago. I would like to come back because this server is the only server I consistently played
on. I have many good memories and many hours logged onto hometown because of the amazing community and
the homey feel of it. Aqua and I apologies for the trouble we have caused to the people of hometown,
and we hope you can forgive us for being annoying to you.
