I embark on a great journey to find beautiful, unspoilt land.
As I drift through the ocean, I see it - paradise.
Rolling fields of green and lush forests, packs of animals such as cows and horses, and beautiful riverside beaches.
I immediately dismount my boat and take in the beauty and awe, and sort of just wander for a while.
I then see something in the distance - a half finished wooden monstrosity that has been abandoned for at least a year. I'm talking AWFUL awful, like a pure-wooden-plank ( no actual stair block) staircase leading to nowhere and dirt towers.
My ears are immediately assaulted by a barrage of clucking and mooing from the extremely crowded and extremely small "ranch" (2x3 hole with fences).
I look to my left - beautiful, untouched land. I look to my right - dear god my eyes!
The world is pretty crowded at the moment, and a wipe would just piss people off (including me).
So I thought, why not just add another world? One for regulars and above, perhaps?
More often than not, the people who travel to the middle of nowhere, make a half finished derp shack, and call it quits are normally guests or rookies. Those who stick with the server are eventually promoted to Member.
This would reduce world clutter and maybe even make griefing harder on those worlds.

| Increase server render distance |

So I've asked what the server render distance was, and to my suprise is was 6. I saw the other thread about render distance and I wondered why it is 6, due to lagg? Would you please consider changing the distance to 12 or 10 or is this not plausible? It would help making my larger farms a lot faster!
Thanks for reading!

Server you were banned on (SMP): Hometownmc.com
Minecraft name: RedboltMC
Reason for your ban: Griefing
Who banned you: vilneas
Why should you be unbanned: I love your server. This is the only survival server that I play on and I grew with it. I saw towns grow and fall. I want to ensure that they never fall and that they keep growing. This is what happened, I found a villager that needed shelter. I found a house that I needed to shelter him inside what seemed to be an abandoned home. I blocked the doors so the villagers couldn't escape. My chat was disabled and I didn't know vilneas was calling me. I relogged onto the server and I enabled chat. He banned me after I explained what happened.
Why do you want to come back: With Frost's permission, I want to start livestreams to help the server grow, and I want to make up for what I did. Hometown feels like home to me, and I told many of my friends about how great it is. I realize what I did was wrong and I hope I can make up for it.

Sorry folks that I've not been around lately. It seems that in their wisdom, the Cable company decided to mistakenly lock out my internet instead of shutting down the person they were sent out to cut off. It has taken some days to get them back out here to turn us back on. While I've missed being on with y'all, I've also had my work scheduled increased so my "free time" is now a bit less. So a mixed bag: bad that I had no internet but I had to work so I could not use it anyway, lol.

| Theoretical grief via wolves and chunk mob caps |

I bred a ton of wolves and, when it dawned on me I have no use for like 30 wolves, I asked chat what to do with them.
After some joking around (kill them, eat them, feed them human souls), something dawned on me - if I can multiply my wolves by two just with a stack of rotten flesh, and I can quickly amass a wolf army, what happens when I reach the mob limit? What happens if I bring that walking-mob-cap to other chunks with existing animals?
When a chunk hits the mob cap it will despawn mobs oldest first. Let's say there's a big happy farm of open-pasture cows and pigs, and you warp to it with 40 wolves.
Will the game then start mass despawning the animals - which were the oldest - and then have a dead chunk with nothing but wolves?
It sounds like a retarded James Bond villain scheme, but hear me out - you can walk around with 40 wolves and make every chunk you come across start mass despawning.
And I don't think it would be loggeable either.
Let me paint out a scenario: A warp owner notices all of his animals are missing and asks staff for help. The staff check the logs and find nothing related to dead animals. All we know is that the animals are gone and they were definitely there before.
The only thing that they have is the list of people who warped there. But how would anybody know when the grief occurred? Let's say there are five people who warped there.
Victim: 1:52 PM, Friday
Guy 1: 12:30 PM Friday
Guy 2: 11:20 AM Thursday
Guy 3: 3:47 AM Thursday
Guy 4: 2:19 PM Wednesday
Victim: 1:30 PM Wednesday
The victim warped on 1:52 PM on Friday and reported the grief. It couldn't have been anyone before 1:30 PM Wednesday as everything was fine when the victim checked in.
We have 4 suspects, but it could be any of them. We don't know the time of when the grief occurred nor do we know who actually griefed it
Now we have a confirmed griefer, but we don't know who it is. What do we do from here?
And what about unintentional grief? What if somebody is walking with a shit ton of wolves and accidentally disappears all of the livestock wherever he goes? If there was no ill intent and the person had no clue, who would be to blame for loss of valuable animals?

Since this concerns trading, I will post it here.
On Jan 9th, 2016, I have reached my 500th Villager kill on the server. I condemned those villagers who gave me crap trades, and enslaved the ones that give me good trades. Manual selection has done its job and I have one of the best book trading center on the server (I bet).
Thanks to the 12 villagers that gave birth to over 500 over the course of 3 months.
