OK PEEPS So since schematica hasn't been updated in literal years, there's another mod called litematica that is available but it has like 10 steps in order to download. Imma try and Give some visuals here to help out

Ok first off you're gonna want MC closed while you install everything or it wont work right- trust me lol

• First- go to fabricmc.net gonna look like this- click that link
  

• gonna lead you to a page with options- do these options
  

• Download the installer, run the installer
  

• Install
  

• ok now you need to download some other things- First off litematica itself- if you look up 'litematica 1.14.4' on google it should be the first result, but get it off curseforge
  

• Download link is in the top corner
  

• Next you're gonna need to click the link to get to the Malilib thing- so do that
  

• Then go back into google- look up 'Mod menu fabric'
  

• First result- curseforge again
  
• Now on this page you're gonna wanna go to files- don't download the latest one it won't work
  

• Download the second to latest one
  

• then when all those are downloaded, move the modmenu, malilib, and litematica into your mods folder on mc- to get there (if you're on windows) put %appdata% in your file search bar and hit enter, it'll come up with .minecraft, then there will be a mods folder, they go in there
  

• Then you should be good to launch
  

Hi all, your friendly neighbor explosive lover here. So I'm really excited for this server reset, since it's a new opportunity to restart everything in a blank slate.

Now, I love my own creation, /warp Damascus, but to be honest, there are still certain things that I'm not fully content about it (mainly calculation errors etc). So, Damascus will appear once again in the new server, in a completely new form and shape. But for now, I want to give my old Damascus a grand farewell. And nothing says grand farewell better than a massive bombardment.

As you can see, it's still currently a bit too small. We can't have some serious fun in this tiny town.

So from this moment, I want to start recruiting people to help me build up Damascus, and prepare it for doomsday. The so-called core sector is considered complete, and I will need expansions in the residential areas.

If you're interested, please comment down below so I can add you to the trust list. People who I know to have experience building high density urban areas are always welcomed and prioritized.

The expected timeline for this Bomb-a-town event is:
6/9 to 20/9: Recruitment together with construction
20/9-27/9: Final touches, give the whole place a grand appearance.
28/9 till reset: Free for all!

Just curious if y'all have any goals / projects for the server when it resets that you guys want to work on

Hi folks and folkettes,

As we all know, the lag on the server as of the past (at least) couple months has been bad. The staff team today decided the best way to solve that issue is to reset the server. For those of you that have been here for many years, this most likely isn't surprising. The server maps, including builds, balances, items, etc will be wiped. Ranks will be kept. The details of this are still being ironed out amongst the staff members, and I assure you we're doing the best to make the best choices for everyone.

What does this mean?
A: A server reset is when we pick a new seed for the server, wipe the builds currently on the maps, and start over from scratch again like we just opened a new server for the first time.

What if I want to save my build? I've worked hard on it!
A: We understand that, and we're talking with Frost to try and find out a way to preserve this map for a little while on the old.hometownmc.com ip so players that would like to can download schematics of their build and re-create what they want to on the new server. If this does not seem like a viable option, further updates will be made on this official thread.

What about my rank?
A: VIP will be kept on the new server, and it will be properly updated to reflect the plugins we choose to keep, not keep, or add. Voting ranks will also be kept. HOWEVER we are currently discussing the possibility of changing up the voting ranks, whether it be removing old ones that were ultimately frivolous or adding new ones we thinking would truly be a "rank up" from where the previous rank had you.

Uh, Star, how long will this catastrophe take?
A: First of all, thanks for the faith you have in us, but once the server goes down for a reset, it will take a few days to clear out old data, secure old builds, and set up the new server again. There's no concrete timeline we can present to you right now because something will undoubtedly go wrong and cause a delay, but we will of course keep you updated using the Hometown Official Discord.

Yeah thanks for answering questions I don't care about, but WHEN WILL THIS ALL HAPPEN??!?!?11!?!
A: In under a month (*Star's time), so on the 28th of September. There will be annoucements before anything happens to remind you of when this is. You can continue playing on the server until this happens, however if this seems like an unreasonable timeline (too long? too short?) please let us know in the comments below.

A: Okay, ask below! We don't have all the answers yet, but we will do our best to answer any questions presented to us. This is not something we chose to do lightly, but ultimately we have decided it's the best for the server. Why should you be unbanned: I think there may be a misunderstanding. When asked how my Xray expedition had gone i jokingly replied with "great, thanks for asking." you may check my client for any mods, which i do not have. The installation of minecraft i use is an optifine installation, which, to my knowledge, does not have mod capabilities. i have recently returned to the server after a long hiatus from minecraft and was simply performing renovations to my base. I have no reason to xray hack, as anything you need in the server can be purchased or accessed through various farms throughout the server. I do feel as though there may have been a misunderstanding, but ultimately the final decision is yours to make; if you feel as though my appeal is undeserving of revocation, i fully understand.

Why do you want to come back: I love the community and the friendships that are born from the server. Everyone is helpful and understanding of one another, wanting nothing but to help each other succeed. These are the types of communities i love to see and love to be a part of. I recently started school again and this year I'm taking really hard classes that will require my undivided attention. Thus, you may start to see a decrease in activity from me as I want to prioritize my work and my classes. I still should be able to get on during the weekends and later in the day during the week.

Dear Staff and players I may have impacted in any sort of way,

I am writing an apology for being a nuisance in the past and wish to come back to hometown.
I have finally decided to make a proper ban appeal instead of humiliating myself any further on the forums, doing petty things out of the heat of the moment, and arguing with staff members. The easiest way to put this is that my actions were not justified, and I sincerely apologize for the way I previously conducted myself on the server, discord, and on the forums.

My behavior was not mature for someone of my age, and I should have known better than to unswervingly make dumb jokes, mess around, until eventually something stupid that I did ended up getting me banned. When I got banned it was permanently; and I thought that the reason for my ban was not justified because in the heat of the moment multiple staff were giving me different reasons for why I got banned. In due course, I was trying to sort everything out too quickly and things honestly got out of control on the forums and I sincerely apologize for that. I said some things that I should not have as I was upset and not receiving any responses from the staff despite trying to contact them.

At this point, I was upset to the point where I even said I was going to do chargebacks for the donations (close to $250) I made because I was frustrated and honestly did not think that I would want to come back to hometown in the heat of all of this. People do stupid things and say things they do not mean when they are upset and I’m no exception. Despite this I kept in contact with Guy and talked about this and decided to just let it be and avoid creating any further unnecessary drama on the forums out.

What I should have done was waited a month or two and think about what happened, taken a break from videogames, and try to work on myself as a person so I do not make the same mistakes again and then make a proper appeal.

In all honestly, it has been a pleasure playing on the hometown server, and I truly do wish to come back and enjoy playing Minecraft in a community that I had a lot of fun in previously. I wholeheartedly hope that you can take this apology into consideration and give me a final chance on the hometown server.

i sit here at 1:16 in the morning trying to find the words to put in here, like most all others do who are about to do what i am, and honestly there is really nothing that comes to mind that can fit the situation. ive spent a very long time with this server and this community, even though for about the last year and a half or so ive been very hit or miss on ever being online. with that being said, this is my farewell as i will no longer be coming back. i know that most of you know will not know who i am or the og that i was with this server but there are a few that are still around that may know me. i  wish you all the best with what you do and what life brings your way, this was by far the best server that i have ever had the chance to be a part of. to go from a regular player and move my way up to what some would say as a great admin, i dont believe that by the way lol, was a great joy. i had the please to get to know some very great people on a personal level and i hope that we can stay in touch but we all know me and when i disappear im pretty much gone for good. im just going to apologize now for anyone that i forget as i go through this but please remember that you all mean the world to me and i honestly have a shit memory when it comes to things of this nature. 

star - you were there for me in ways that never should have been expected of from a friend made online, you will forever hold a special place in my heart for that. you made the game a great joy to play as we trolled or staff friends and could not stop laughing about it or the great joys of the kitty cannon. i wish you the best in all that you do lady and may happiness always be around the corner for you. 

katnip - what can i say, you were my favorite brit! we always had a good time making some of my mini-games maps or even playing them. i always admired your building style and the creativity that you showed through it. excel in all that you do katnip, the world is your oyster lady. 

grimm - by far my best memory with you was having you come and double check the xray of coal that i found.... god what a laugh we had out of that. past that the best thing to be involved in with you was being able to watch your wedding, that was a great joy to see and i thank you for that. i wish you and your wife the best in the years to come and may you always smile when you are together. 

osh, guy, chicken, maddie, lexi - you all were some of the best friends that anyone could ask for, even if it was online. there was not a moment that went by where we were all not laughing at each other. i will miss my town that we all "lived in" that no one ever came to lol. 

fel - you're an odd duck and i like that about you, dont ever change chicka. keep building to your hearts desire, you have a gift for it and ive always enjoyed watching you create things. take care of yourself lady and i wish you nothing but happiness. 

cil - you were a joy to play the game with and even though you are taking a break, school is more important than a game, i wish you the best with all your creations and most certainly with school. keep your head down in the books and you'll do great. 

sai - chess club and piano, thats all i have to say   thank you for the memories and teaching me a little about chess. i always did enjoy listening to you play the piano and i hope that you've come along with it. take care of yourself and i wish you the best. 

frost - you were a hard duck to crack and were not very talkative from what my memory tells me, but you're a great guy, thank you for giving me the chance to be staff and help out the community. i wish you the best and i hope that this server is around for many more to come and enjoy. 

i know that i am missing so many people and i apologize for that, im not doing it intentionally. its hard enough to sit here and do this and also have to try and remember everyone and for that i apologize again. please do not take it personal, just know that you all have touched my heart. it is now 2 in the morning as i try to find the words to finish this off and i can feel a tear building up so with that i am bidding you all farewell. take care of each other and i wish you all the best with everything, adios amigos.
