Why should you be unbanned: I was banned in April 2018 (5 years ago.) At the time of being banned I did not break any rules, months previously I had been banned for disrespect, somewhat rightfully so as I had been rude but not vulgar towards another player who I felt was cheating me. This is not about that small incident. I was banned after politely speaking to a staff member who’s user name was rayvenz about ways in which I thought the rules should be more specific to prevent misuse. Mid conversation, not rant, rayvenz suddenly told me she would ban me if I didn't quit talking about the rules. I immediately quit the discussion. The only thing I wrote after was a polite message telling her I'd leave her alone but asking her to please reconsider her decision not to talk to me about this issue. That is when I was banned. I did not harass her, I did not insult her. Since this incident I was briefly a builder/moderator on one server, and for a more lengthy time an admin on another server. This kind of ban would never fly. Not only am I not guilty of breaking any rules with regard to this ban, but the reason listed is: “banned by rayvenz forever.” I'm guessing this is not your policy as the ban format says to copy the exact thing you see when you try to join the server. As I grow older and wiser I realize the mistakes I have made in the past in general and with regards to what I have done. Though in this particular case I have now recognized rayvenz actions and words for what they were, plain emotional black mail and abuse. I can easily substantiate this claim, but the goal of this appeal is merely to be unbanned not to exact revenge or have rayvenz taken off the staff team or banned. I will only write more on this topic if asked to. 


Why come back after all this time? 
I don't actually plan on coming back to the server in its entirety, Mostly I just want absolution as this gets on my mind every year or so. This issue made me quite sick to my stomach at the time as I had been using hometown as an escape from a busy life to hang out with friends irl and online. I would also like to take some screenshots of my previous builds, if they are still standing. I understand it's likely there has been a reset since. I may play somewhat, just don't know yet and probably shouldn't make plans until and unless I'm unbanned anyhow. It would be nice to be able to say again that I have never been banned without an acquittal. 

I'll start: I threw mouse ears all over spawn and in a team

One player asked me to take couple screenshots of vehicles, because there are no textures on them on bedrock (they work on bedrock too, just without textures)

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?):
I am writing this appeal to request that you unban me from the SMP server. I understand that my actions of griefing other players' builds were completely unacceptable and violated the server's rules. I am deeply sorry for what I did and I take full responsibility for my actions.

I have learned from this experience and realize that my behavior was unacceptable and caused harm to the server community. I assure you that such behavior will never happen again. I have taken the time to reflect on my actions and understand that they were not only unfair to other players but also disrespectful towards the server staff who work hard to maintain a fun and fair gaming environment.

Why do you want to come back:
I would like to come back to the HometownMC server because I have made many good friends in the community and I miss playing with them. I also love the server's unique features and would like to continue exploring and building in its vast world. I understand that trust needs to be earned, and I am willing to do whatever it takes to regain the trust of the server and its staff. I hope you will consider my appeal and grant me a second chance.

I saw other ban appeals and I've noticed that you guys always ask questions. Here are some answers for them.

1. Grief and theft are not allowed on the server because they violate the fundamental principles of fair play and respect for other players. Griefing involves destroying, damaging, or modifying another player's constructions without their consent, which can ruin their hard work and progress on the server. Theft is also a form of griefing where players take items that belong to others without permission, thereby causing harm to the victim's gameplay experience.

2. Players are not allowed to take or break things that belong to other players, regardless of whether they are claimed or not. This is because it violates the basic principle of respect for property and ownership. Even if an item is not locked or protected, it is still considered the property of the player who placed it, and taking or breaking it without permission is against the server rules.

3. The grief that a player does can have a significant impact on the owner of the build. It can cause them frustration, anger, and disappointment as they see their hard work destroyed or damaged without any reason. Additionally, it can discourage them from continuing to play on the server or engaging with other members of the community. Griefing can undermine the sense of trust and mutual respect that is essential for creating a positive and enjoyable gaming environment for everyone involved.

I cannot properly write a ban appeal for .RotaryInk952431 Because I know I ban evaded, but what else did I greif? Also sorry for my inactivity it's just that I've been dealing with stuff.

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I was not under the impression that I would be griefing because I was unaware that the land and items I took were claimed.  I’m very new to multiplayer and thought that the area was abandoned since it was unclaimed.  Is it technically griefing property without it being claimed? If that’s how the rule works I’ll happily give back the 2block of emerald and 2block of diamond and whatever else I took.  Truthfully I really thought that it was abandoned because I have spent many hours on the server and would never leave said blocks unclaimed. I’m sorry for inconvenience to whoever I took them from and would never grief on purpose.  I think I only took the blocks of emerald and diamond but I’d happily give back whatever I took.


Why do you want to come back: this is the first server I’ve been on where everyone has always been very helpful with my noobie questions.  I also have not had people destroy my area so why would I purposely destroy someone else’s.  I have worked hard on this server and am not even sure that thats the reason of my ban.   And sorry for the first post I was blindsided by the ban and didn’t realize a format was needed.

Why should you be unbanned (Why should we give you a second chance?): I'm sorry for what I did, I really am. I should have done better and followed the rules. I was messing around with warps and tried /warp diamond not knowing about it because I am new. I'm not going to say I should be unbanned because It's not up to me. But if I do get unbanned this will never happen again . I borrowed my friend's mc acc to play again because I thought I could do good for a while, then reveal myself and show everyone how I've changed. But that didn't happen. I didn't know I could ban appeal because after I got banned I felt too guilty to try to go back to the server. I'm sorry for wrecking the stuff. I returned everything. But most of all. Even if I don't get unbanned, please tell DiamondBlockBen That I regret what I did because I feel I betrayed him. 
EDIT: I looked through some other ban appeals and learned my lesson from other responses. Just because something isn't claimed doesn't mean It's free for the taking. And UberDeathBunny, if you are the one who responds, please don't put that "I banned you for breaking the rules and you don't belong here" stuff. It's hurtful. Just accept or deny my appeal. pls? Also, I have researched you from prior ban appeals to prove that I really want to be unbanned and have discovered that you usually give questions that must be answered in 5-8 sentences. I will inform you That I am ready to answer those questions. (From the bans I have studied) You seem to deal with x-rays a lot which seems hard. Also, even if I don't get unbanned, please talk to the other staff about /warp diamond. It seems to sometimes cause problems like with me. Maybe consider moving it to a private warp for only certain people? It is too tempting.

Why do you want to come back: Hometown server is the best and only server I've ever been to. When I play there, I feel like I'm finnaly somewhere where people notice me. Everyone there is so friendly and nice. I already miss everyone there.
