Hi, was told to best ask here if you can add some other egg types to the slot machine, such as Ocelot, bat, zombie horse and when they finally come out and we update, bees.  I don't' think bats exist in the game so would be nice to have one as a pet and pretty sure you can't get a zombie horse any other way.  Also there will be a need for bees as even if the res world is reset, there may be no way to get the bees home being a different world.  I know its  a lot to add to the slot machines, so maybe wait until bees come out and add them all then.

Why should you be unbanned: I know that/why HomeTown has a strict zero-tolerance policy for X-Ray. It is clearly stated in the rules and in the tutorial that was taken at the very beginning of our HomeTown journey, and it was made clear many times afterwards. It provides players with the ability to see ores and obtain them in unfair ways. Although I was not the one who actually had the X-Ray pack downloaded, I still had full knowledge that my friend was using a cheat and I should've reminded him of the no-tolerance policy. Having full knowledge that somebody is cheating and playing along with it is just as bad as actually having the cheat. Although we did not originally intend to cheat with it, we gave in to temptation and began mining. Trying to hide something like this from server admin is a hassle for us and extra work for staff to have to ban people, and we are fighting a battle that we can't win. This was an extremely stupid and mindless mistake, and I have learned my lesson. If I do get unbanned, I will hand over all any/all materials that I have gained from this mining trip and promise to never cheat again.

Why do you want to come back:  I feel that I have learned my lesson. Having been banned once, especially for something like X-Ray, reminds me that if I get banned again, my chances of getting unbanned are almost 0%. This server means so much to me, and I love the community and the care they take of each other. Thank you for taking the time to read my appeal and I hope that you will consider making an exception from the no-tolerance/permanent ban policy.

Why should you be unbanned: I was curious about x-ray and how it worked, so I installed it to just try it out (with 0 intentions to cheat). After a while, I entered a ravine, and saw an astonishing amount of diamonds, so I thought to myself "mining a couple won't hurt." So my friend and I mined a lot of diamonds. I'm very sorry about this, and I promise I will never x-ray again. I just downloaded the x-ray texture pack today, so I was dumb to think it was okay to use and. I'll burn all the diamonds I mined in lava too. I didn't sell any either, and I won't use that texture pack on this server anymore. It's just very tempting.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because I have a lot of time invested into this server, and I don't want to loose it. Also, I've built many things near my house, and I have a lot of good stuff in my chests. I've looked through many other survival servers, but this one has been the most fun, unlike any others. Even though it's a small server, it's still my favorite out of all I've played on.

It's time for another Hunger Games!!! This one will include parkour, traps, hidden rooms, ranged weapons, and most importantly, a brand new deathmatch arena! I assume alot of you probably know how to play but I'll explain it anyways. Everyone will start in a pod in the sky. When the game begins the doors will open and players will jump into the map. Everyone will then start to search for Armor, Weapons, Consumables, etc. During the game Players will Fight to the Death. You are allowed to pick up other people's loot! Once there is only 4 Players left alive the DeathMatch will begin. Each player will receive their own /warp to the arena via /msg. They will have 1 minute to use it before the doors open. If you die and you want to spectate the final fight go ahead and use /warp spectate. There will also be Air Drops throughout the entire game. They will have the best loot. You can find them by looking for the Red Beacons.

Rules: If you break any of these rules you will be banned from the Hunger Games.

1. No Commands like /tpa, /back, /ptime, /fly, etc.

3. Do not cross the Wall around the Arena. It is a boundary and should never be crossed. 

4. Come with an empty inventory. Do not bring weapons, armor, consumables, etc.

I've officially been playing on the server for 4 years now.
And what a fucking adventure it has been. I've changed a lot over these last couple of years, and i like to think i've grown to become a lot more responsible, now even taking up a role as Guardian.
i'd personally like to thank each and every one of you for being there and making my life a better one.

Why should you be unbanned: Its been a few years ever since I got banned. I don't have a good reason on what I did but do regret doing it. I want to be unbanned because I will promise now that I wouldn't break the rules again like how I did before.

Why do you want to come back: I want to come back because I just miss playing in the server. I just remember spending
                                               so much time in the server before. I remember my enjoyment when i was playing

So, we throw the word 'lag' around a lot to explain any type of latency or slowness between what you want to happen and when it actually happens

However there's quite a few different types and they often get mashed together, I thought it might be helpful to give a simple run-down of what they are, and what causes them- in a basic manner from a very non-professional.


[Frame lag]

This is the lag that you notice on your computer where your FPS drops dramatically- this is purely client-side (Client-side meaning, your end, not server end). 
FPS lag is caused by your computer not having enough resources available to render visuals at the speed you want it to- This is often caused by particles, item frames, large numbers of mobs- all things that constantly need updating on your computer and thus take a lot of processing power. 
If your computer has a lot of resources dedicated to this, you won't really notice much FPS lag in these situations, if it doesn't, often turning down particles and such helps a lot.

[Connection lag]

This one is pretty self-explanitory, internet isn't connected well enough to transfer the information to the server fast enough for you to get the responses in the time you want them. 
This is also a client-side issue

[TPS Lag]

Here we go boys and girls, the moment you've all been waiting for....

ok we're getting into server lag now- first off, TPS stands for 'ticks per second'

Ideally, there is 20 ticks for every irl second- a tick is used to determine redstone lengths, how fast the game checks for things, etc.

It's important to understand how servers work, versus single player- When you play on a server, all the calculating is done server end, aside from visuals. Basically you're shouting a bunch of numbers to someone in another room with a calculator- you've given the information (whatever you've done in game) but your computer hasn't had to figure out everything, all that info is sent packaged to your door. 
So, though you may not have lag client-side, things still affect the server that you may not realize. 

When the server's TPS is low, you start to notice things like block lag (when blocks re-appear after mining them), crops growing slower, animals growing slower, commands taking longer to process. 
This is because the server is processing more information than it can easily handle, so it has to take the time to process it all. 
Things that often affect TPS are things that require a lot of calculation on the server's part- redstone builds, large quantites of animals, etc.


{Redstone builds}

Redstone builds cause TPS issues because they require a lot of calculation- the server has to figure out if there's a block it's powering, what the power is doing, will a block be moving when something is powered, is there room for said block- etc.

The larger the build, the more calculations the server has to do- 
Hoppers constantly check for items that can be sucked into them (unless they have a container on top, thus why we ask hoppers be topped with droppers if possible), flying machines are a huge contributor because they work with slime blocks and constant updates, so the server has to figure out if there's the proper amount of blocks connected to the slime blocks that it can move, if there's room, etc- constantly, every time it moves. 

We also ask for lighting areas where redstone frequently is fired because the server has to calculate the light levels for mob spawning 

{Large quantities of animals}

        Now, I mentioned animals in the client-side lag because you can get lag from rendering all the animals- however, this is a different type of lag in this case. 
Animals and especially villagers have AI to calculate- sheep look for grass to eat, villagers - their workstations, beds, chatting with other villagers and exchanging information about players and dangers, monsters looking for things to aggro on, or running away from things (creepers from cats, tamed dogs). 
They constantly search for blocks to walk to, which direction to turn, things that make them seem more realistic. 
The server also has to figure out, if all these animals are bumping into each other, if so, how many times, is there too many, should they be dying due to entity cramming. 

So-having a bunch of animals in a close space causes a ton of calculations to need to be done on the server's part.

So again, though you may not see lag on your end because you have a good enough computer to handle the FPS lag, being near so many animals that are sending so many calculations to the server, causes the server to need to sort through all those.

Now, you may be able to handle these things in singleplayer fine, but when you have 40-50 people sending all these calculations to the server to sort through, the server can't possibly handle them at the speed in which we would like

[In Conclusion]

This is the reason for trying to limit the excess amounts of calculations- if you limit the things that cause MASSIVE amounts of info to be sent, then more people can send reasonable amounts, and there's less lag.
