I've become one of those people who posts "taking a break" threads. Oy.


Anyway, whoever I know has probably noticed that I haven't been on much recently. School is top priority; I've had hella AP exams and stuff. But now that most of the hard stuff is over, I still find myself not as interested in logging on anymore. Stocking my shop is a chore, and even doing other stuff here isn't that fun anymore. I'm not even going to lie; I honestly hate what the server has become since the new rank system and the 1.9 update. I miss the close knit, familiar community and being able the chat with all of my friends. I don't like how fast chat moves or how I usually only know 5 out of the 65 or so players online. Only 1 or 2 of my close friends even play anymore. Overall, I just feel like HomeTown's not a good fit for me anymore.

I still play a bit of Minecraft outside of HT, but not nearly as much as I used to. I'm not going to spend my whole summer in bed with my eyes glued to a screen and my fingers glued to a keyboard. I did that last summer and it was a shit summer. I want to have time to actually spend doing fun things and hanging out with my friends, boyfriend, and family. I'm also (probably) on a synchro skating team so that'll take up a lot of time.

Anyways, I guess that's it. Thanks to all my friends for the good memories, and thanks to staff for all the hard work. I'll be around 24/7 on skype to chat I may play occasionally or chat stalk if I'm bored, but it'll likely be brief and infrequent.

There's an app called Discord that you can join to talk (or listen if you prefer) to other HomeTown people! I got bored, so I made a channel for everyone to use.

Once you join there, you'll be put into the general text chat, and from there you can choose to join our voice channel if you so please. To do so, in the upper left-hand corner on your screen is a little list that says "Voice Channel". Click that and you'll join in. 

Fair warning, basic rules of respect (and please god no spam) apply, or you're at risk of being kicked/banned. Stay nice(ish), nerds.

So as of right now I'm getting my bookshop/potions store set up and stocked. And while I am doing so I am running a Goody Chest Lottery in my store. =)

What's in the Goody Chest? 
      Think of it like a grab bag. It's could be anything. From Blocks of quartz, Ores, Emeralds, Enchanted Books, Potions, Leather. You get the idea. It will change each week as well. 

How does it work?
    1. Warp bookshop
    2. Buy a piece of paper for $.50 (Limit 2 please.)
    3. Use an anvil to write your number 1-500 and In game name on the paper
    4. Place paper in chest below were you bought it

Simple. 
    
To be fair 100% I will be using a random number generator (thanks to Random.org)  to pick the number. The person who is the closest will get a message or pm from me. And I may even post on this thread with a screenshot for proof and announce the winner.

the /friend command can tell you if your "friends" are on the server when you are. for example if PocketPro was friends with frost. it will tell you if your friend is on or not. and it will show a different colour message so then you notice when and what your friend is saying. this command just lets you know if your friends are on or not. i would like to see this on the hometown server.

So I really do like the simplicity of Hometown. It differs from all the big servers with a bunch of plugins...yuck.

But I do like meeting new people. So I wanted to ask you guys: What other servers do you go on? I'm looking for just simple survival servers with little to no plugins. Also, has some people who are on daily, even if its like 5. I can't wait to hear what you guys say!

uummm... i dont have any way of convincing you guys to come... but if you are interested then you can come to /warp promart for stuff at a decent/cheap price. now offering delivery and if you see a cheaper price then i will beat it by 5%! so come if you are interested. if there are any prblems then let me know.

Me and my friend DinoGummi wanted to find a Stronghold in the Resource World just for fun, but our Eye of Ender took us to a point, but there was no Stronghold in sight. Do Strongholds spawn in the Resource World, and if not then where are my Eyes of Ender? I really want that back.

Why should you be unbanned: I think that there were two people who didn't understand me well enough. and thought i was being disrespectful; when in my mind i wasn't, I thought They were the ones being disrespectful. Ive had this happen to me alot of times and its one of the reasons I dont like playing minecraft.

Why do you want to come back: My friend in real life is playing on this server; And shes is always sick in real, So I can't go over there alot to be able to be with her; and she somehow seems to be more aggressive towards me on minecraft though. But Still  I have memories with her. and its upsetting to not get to be her friend. Because of something so stupid.
